1) Game Over
Very Spanish intro
When it goes into major it feels like a classical piece
Intro feels like it was cut short, doesn't feel like it was over
But it helps with leaving us wanting more
But I'm sure they don't want it to be 8 minutes
Guitar tone sounds really nice, evil and heavy
First part of the verse, fast delivery I really like It
Backing vocal hitting some odd notes which makes it interesting
When the vocal layer comes in the lyrics " as it may " it reminds me of Queen, can also hear some dissonant notes in there
During the snare march chorus it also has odd notes in the melody which is good
The little moments of double ride and the whammy tricks in the solo is cool
You can obviously hear the classical influence by the intro but also the sudden shift from loud to soft
It feels like this was originally 8 minutes but they cut it to make it digestible , which I always appreciate
There are 2 cool dissonant chords before the soft bridge
The bridge melody sounds very familiar
Like a sound of music or Disney kind of song
Even though it feels like it cut a lot of parts , no time for developing anything
It doesn't overstay its welcome and that's the most important thing you should do
10/10
2) Mattel
Straight into the zeros, which sounds very cool
The guitar slide that acts like a riff is also cool
0:42 that vocal effect reminds me of Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots , with his iconic megaphone
1:04 this is something new from them, they hold on to stuff way longer, it's not like the predictable 4 equal bars, it's very free flowing and has no tempo
Soft piano chorus part is very dramatic and catchy with his vocal delivery
Going back to the intro was cool
2:53 adding the constant rides on the 2nd scream was cool
Synth type solo makes it sound like you're in an evil church
Syncopated rides in the bridge, I always appreciate stuff like that
The bridge doesn't make me feel anything, I didn't like the first part only the 2 bars, The bridge could be cut
Good entrance at 4:21, the drum fill was long and dragged which makes the chorus more impactful
4:50 drum loop sample kind of feeling
Like a lofi beats to chill and study type of thing happening because of the drum sound and piano
9/10
3) Nobody
Cool intro with the synth, even when it's only 2 notes
The whole synth and drum beat reminds me of Rush's Tom Sawyer
At first I didn't like the verse, didn't make me feel anything, but now I get it
