Testing Grounds - Chapter 1

Start from the beginning

He taps his chin, "Around... 940,000," he counts up with ease.

A sudden clap sounds out, hes smiling, "just need to add sixty thousand or more and it'll be a million!".

Enaic proceeds to make two vertical walls in the sky right in with the dotted sky. It looks like two lines of grey in a static background... but he wasn't finished. A second swipe of his hand makes the portals connect to one another and it starts to look like two absolutely large mirrors staring across each other. The static behind them, its a shattered place, a jumbled up puzzle of reflective surfaces that without the ground it'll look a mirror just broke into a million cracks all over the sky

Enaic has a slightly strained smile on his face looking at the sight between the two walls, he waves away the walls and they break apart and melted like the rest in the sky.

"Now that's well over one million portals." Enaic stands proud at the sight and what he's accomplished.

"New record achieved!" He switches his stance to a grounded one, "Now time to-" Enaic moves his hands in a turning motion, "-move it".

With a slow start every single portal moves in various directions like the moving gears in a clock, the ones in the sky fall and twist, the ones in the trees rising above the leaves or through bushes, the sky looks something like a kaleidoscope at the start but the portals were converging on one spot started to make a funnel with Enaic in the middle.

Enaic created an equivalent of the largest solid tornado, portals flickering a whitish-grey due to the volume of the moving mass and the portals being pressed against one another, The Tornado is reflective with grey spots splattered across the funnel once again turning static-like, the funnel stayed spinning in place controlled by the green lone figure in its core, standing tall in the eye of the storm.

With his arms moving above from side-to-side in a small circular motion, Enaic's grins, it's strained as he feels the effort it takes to keep so many things in motion. He looks up into the eye of the mass, spotting the sky all the way up above, determined, "Now without gestures..." he begins to breathe slowly, preparing for the level of concentration this'll need.

He slowly lowers his arms, then relaxes his hands to his side till eventually he's standing in the grand mass of the portal filled tornado, the mass now tinted greyish with the edges of the Portal tornado more visible. Despite it all he's still controlling and keeping the Port-nado's speed and form, the disconnect of the portals rendering it more grey.

For quite some time Enaic stands, looking at the funnel within the middle, grass swaying as if there's nothing there but gentle wind, his smile has been replaced by a thin line that tightens at the ends, his attention fully on the surrounding mass of small portals.

He stands there, beginning to go stiff, and in a brief moment the tornado starts breaking formation.

The Portal-nado suddenly dissipates, all that's left are dots of white in the sky in the vague shape of a cone. He lets out a breath he's been holding and sits down, flopping onto the flatten grass cross-legged. With a tired breath, the scattered remains above disappear and we're left with a lone figure in the clearing of still undisturbed grass.

For a few moments it's nothing but soft heavy breathing and a slight wind, Enaic sighs again then straightens up and reaches his hand towards the general direction the thrown notebook is, a small portal flickers in and out as he flips through it to the saved page and jolts down-

"One million, four hundred fifty...", He taps the page and grins, "Nicccce."

He flips it shut and shoves it into his arm before getting up to grabs the other books on the ground normally and shoves them with the notebook. Stretching a little bit he loudly sighs, "Uh, Ima take a nap", he shuffles to the end of the clearing. He still has quite a bit of energy left, but sleeping a couple of hours away was quite appealing, he just needs to get off the floor first.
