I'll deck your heart with boughs of holly
Baby 'cause you're the reason to be jolly
I hear melodies when your heart beats
Baby it sings to me like (fa la la, fa la la)

Melody understood why her sister decided to be a choreographer.

She knew the main reason was her love of dance. Serenity had been passionate about dance before Melody was born. But Melody could also see being a choreographer sparked creativity and inspiration. Even though most of the choreography was coming from the movies, there were places that needed to be tweaked for the stage adaptation. Or because the tweaks would make the dance better.

"Having us go to the back doesn't transition well to the stage. Unless someone physically can't, we should be in the front dancing the entire time," Melody told the group as they stood in the grand studio of The Wright Steps. The perks of having a mother who owned a dance studio. Several, actually.

"You know you won't have a problem with that in this group," Zack spoke as he took a sip of his water.

"Well..." Amala started. Zack pointed to the exit, a serious look on his face. Everybody snickered as Amala waved him off.

"Cool, I'll talk to Alex more about it then. Otherwise we're done for the day." The group clapped as they walked over to their belongings. "Except you Josh, we need to start practicing 'Can I Have This Dance'." Josh cursed under his breath. He knew it was coming. He thought he had time though.

"Uh... Mel can we do it this weekend? I wanna practice my waltz a little more by myself. I don't wanna step on your toes." He cringed in his mind at the lame excuse. He cringed harder when Melody looked at him like he was stupid.

"Uh... okay?"

"Thanks," He nodded, grabbing his bag as fast as possible. "See you guys tomorrow." He quickly headed out of the studio. Amala raised an eyebrow, looking to see if anybody else noticed. They were all too busy talking to each other. She snatched her belongings up and headed towards the door.

"Bye Mel," She waved at her friend and Melody waved, moving to grab her stuff. Amala quickly left the studio, trying to catch up to Josh. She managed to make it downstairs before he got out the door. "Josh!!!" He stopped in his tracks, looking back at her. She jogged towards him. "That was weird. What was that?"

"What was what?" He asked. Amala cut her eyes at him.

"That thing with Melody. 'I wanna practice my waltz a little more by myself'. Boy how the hell you gon waltz by yourself?" She folded her arms, thinking about Josh's behavior from the last few days. Actually, the last month. How he avoided being around... Amala gasped. "Oh my God, do you like Mel again?!?" She whispered harshly. Josh stared at her for a moment then turned and pushed the front door open, walking out into the pouring rain. That gave Amala her answer. She opened her umbrella and ran out after him. "You do!!" She jogged beside him. "You like Mel again!!"

"Amala," He groaned. This was the third person who figured it out. That was three people too many.

"Are you going to tell her?"

"No."

"Why not?!?"

"She didn't like me the first time I liked her!!" Josh turned to her. "Before we 'dated' she didn't like me. She didn't like me when we spent nine months sucking face. She definitely doesn't like me now because-" He stopped himself before shaking his head. "I'm not going to tell her, and neither are you."
