"Can you guys let me know if this will break a non disclosure agreement?" I turned up my van stereo as my new song blasted. "You're just a baby doll and he was an old man but I guess it's ok because you were his biggest fan!" I sang along. "You hurt me and baby girl I'll hurt you too. Even if it's just threw a verse no one will ever listen too. I can't give no names but I'll give you a hint, she made me sign an NDA and all her songs are dope as shit!" The music played and I ended the video. I added the tags and description before posting it on my TikTok.

••••••••••••••••••

"What the fuck was that TikTok?!" Dylan asked as I faked a smiled.

"Uh, a new song."

"And... it was about?"

"I can't say." I grabbed my water bottle. "I'm going for a walk." I dipped before she could ask another question. I was second guessing the song. But I'm a very broke- living in a conferred van broke. And a artist trying to take off. What's the worst the will happen? People will make assumptions that can't be fueled by anything. There's no proof of us anywhere together.

My phone started to buzz, I tried to ignore it but it became persistent. "Dyl I told you-" I answered annoyed but I was cut off.

"Hail." Oh no. "Hailey." I stopped dead in my tracks less then 100 feet from the driveway.

"Wa- what..."

"Hailey."

"I... I thought you were um... Dylan sorry."

"What the fuck is your problem."

"What?"

"Why the fuck would you post that fucking shit?"

"Why would I? Seriously? Halley's commit."

"Oh fucking well at least no one will ever fucking know that it's about you! You don't exist to me."

"Wow... I wish you didn't exist to me Billie."

"I mean publicly-"

"No Billie I hear you loud and clear but this is my only fucking shot. No one is even going to hear it."

"How do you think I found out about it? Have you looked at your TikTok?" I put her on speaker and saw all the notifications my do not disturb had kept from me. I clicked tiktok and went straight to my home page.

"I gotta go." I ended the call and started to hyper ventilate. I held my chest and clicked Dylan's name in my contacts with a shaky hand.

"Hey w-"

"I can't- I can't breath." I mumbled.

"What?"

"TikTok! I need to get home."

"Stay there." The call ended and after a second I saw her running down the street. "What's wrong?" She asked.

"My- my TikTok Dyl."

"What?" She asked, I showed her my phone.

"Oh my god! This is great." She smiled.

"No it's not! She saw it."

"Who?"

"The girl I wrote it about. She's mad."

"Well ya, I mean it makes sense."

"Did you really not see put it together who it's about?"

"Who?" She asked.

"On my way out she made me sign an nda..." she continued to look at me. "Are lyrics we both share in songs."

"NDA- Flair." She said.

"Dylan."

"Oh my god you did not fuck Billie Eilish."

"Shut up!"

"You hate her music-"

"No I don't. I hate her, she's my ex Dyl."

"No ok. If that's true she's going to kill you!"

"She just called me. She thinks everyone will know."

"How would they know you guys know each other anyways?"

"No one knows..." I sighed. "She didn't want something to happen... like what apparently happened to drew."

"They- were really together?" I couldn't speak anymore my lungs we're tight and she helped me back to her place. She got me a cold cloth and put it on my face. "You need to calm down, it'll be ok. You need this, your TikTok is blowing up. No one is going to think you got with Billie Eilish." She said.

"Wow... thanks."

"No offence! That's not that I meant."

"I know..."

"Come here." She hugged me but I pulled away.

"No."

"Sorry that's the only thing I know to do..."

"I just..." I shook my head. "Should I delete it?"

"There's no point. It'll be ok, just calm down ok?" I sighed and my phone buzzed.

Privet number: 'Hailey we need to talk.' Followed by. 'This is Billie' no shit. Who else calls me by my name.

"I got to make a call." I tossed the cloth on the coffee table.

"Ok." She went to the kitchen and I grabbed a blanket going out back. 'Fine. Call me' I replied.

"Hail." She popped up on my screen. I was not prepared to visually see her.

"Flair." I corrected her.

"Flair. Listen, no one can know." She pleaded, she looked like she'd been crying. Or laughing to hard... her eyes wet red and she was mascara down her eyes slightly.

"Don't worry Billie who's going to think I got with you?"

"Everyone on fucking TikTok right now? Like? Dude did you even think about me?! No you though about you. Hailey taking care of Hailey. Right?" She left the room she was in as she talked- or shouted. "Mom I'm fine!" She snapped, I could see Maggie in the back as she walked past to the backyard. I missed her as much as I hated Billie.

"Billie fuck you ok?"

"No man I just got over your ass now my phone is blowing up about you."

"Bullshit. You were over me when you got under Jessie-"

"Fuck off no I wasn't. Why do you think I did what I did?" She asked looking at me as she propped her phone up on a picnic table.

"Who you did you mean? It's my fault you because a whore."

"Smart coming from you. And it's fucking 2023 don't slut shame is that all you have against me? My body? You didn't seem to fucking mind it when I was a whore for you."

"How's drew?" I said with a even tone.

"Seriously?" She looked away and after a second I heard a small sniff. She was crying, I can't handle this.

"I'm going."

"Don't release that song."

"What are you going to do about it?" I asked, typically they were famous last words.
