Finally, it's the weekend. The first week of school was shit as usual.
As soon as I got home Friday I locked myself in my room and haven't left since. I'm blaring The Animals Hit the road Jack when my phone rings. I pick it up. Oh my mom called.
I call her back.
"Hey mom, you needed something?" I say when she answers the phone.
"Yes, honey I need you to fetch the casserole out of the fridge and take it down the street to our new neighbors that just moved in." She tells me.
"Oh okay. Will do, love you mom."
"Love you too honey.Bye."
"Bye."
When I end the call I fetch the casserole from downstairs. And head out the door to take it to the new neighbors.
I arrive at a beige house with white shutters and a white picket fence.
As I reach to knock the door swings open.
"Who're you and what're'ya doin here." A male voice says.
I look up to see a boy around my age, tall, dark hair, green eyes.......SNAP OUT OF IT!
"Uhm, hi my uh mom told me to bring this to you." I stutter.
"I'll get my mom. Wait here."
I wait. Then, I see a tall lady walk to the door.
"Hello, you must be Ms. Mains daughter. My name is lyd, and this is my son Joel." She points to Joel. "Joel why don't you show her to the living room while I put the casserole in the fridge?"

We walk to the living room in silence until I run into the couch and make the sound a seal makes.
Nice one Jamie make seal noises in front of the hot guy.
"You good?" Joel asks chuckling
"Yeah,I'm good" I manage to say, flustered.
When I sit down he sits down in the chair opposite of the couch,so that he is facing me. He asks:
"So, what grade are you in?"
"I'm a sophomore."
"Hey cool, me too"
"Cool."
