"Oh come on Mon, at least tell us his name", Stephanie huffed whilst she sat on the floor of the coffee house, letting phoebe pleat her hair.
Joey and Chandler eyed the pair with amused gazes, Meanwhile Monica scoffed and replied-
"What do you mean? There's nothing to tell. He's just some guy I work with".
"C'mon, you're going out with the guy there's gotta be something wrong with em", Joey said as he reached for his mug of coffee whilst raising his eyebrows to Chandler. Chandler taking the hint then said-
"Alright Jo enough... So Mon does he have a hump? A hump and a hairpiece?".
This caused Stephanie to gently slap his knee which was next to her as the two boys snickered together at their half assed attempt of a joke. Monica merely rolled her eyes, secretly hoping that if she didn't respond then the topic of conversation would change. But then Phoebe who had just finished pleating Stephanie's hair asked-
"Wait does he eat chalk?".
The whole group paused at the question wondering why she had asked it however before anyone got the chance to ask, Phoebe then said-
"It's just cause, I don't want her to go through what I went through with Carl- Oh", she explained throwing up her hands slightly as if to say nevermind. But all the group looked at her in recognition as they all remembered Carl and his weird chalk eating ways. Stephanie gently patted Phoebe on the shoulder as she got up and said-
"I wouldn't worry about that Pheeb's Carl was.. um.. a very unique person", this caused Phoebe to offer the other woman a wistful smile as she then went and sat down on the armchair that was opposite Joey.
"Plus Monica is a big girl she can look after herself", as soon as the words left her mouth she slapped her hand across it while Monica merely offered her a sarcastic smile in response. She said nothing else causing Stephanie's need to over explain to chime in-
"Sorry Mon I meant metaphorically, put my foot in my mouth as usual".
"Sure did", Monica replied teasingly as she reached for a newspaper in front of her.
All the while this was happening Joey and Chandler had to turn themselves around and cover their mouths to stop the laughs trying to escape. Phoebe simply sat on the floor next to the coffee table organizing the sugar packets into a zebra pattern, none the wiser to what was going on.
