America scatters around envelopes around the table, searching desperately for a certain one that he received only once every year. He was sure he was invited, he always was, after all. Soon after scattering and searching, the envelope America was looking for was in plain sight, and America grins. Excitement fills America as he found the precious envelope he was looking for, eager to know what country would be hosting this year.

The envelope was white in colour, and had a royal blue and gold lining bordering it, and it has a little sticker of the flag of the EU. It was an invitation to the New Year's Eve party that would be held in Europe, at a country of one of the members of the EU. America was curious to see what country New Year's Eve would be held in this time, perhaps Belgium, or the UK... or Czechia.. maybe Italy? He looks at the envelope in awe, admiring the invitation in front of him, before carefully opening it. America read the letter with a delighted and curious expression on his face...

"Hello America, I was expecting you."

America looks behind him, a little startled, as he continued to hold the invitation in his hands. Right behind America stood a man who was dressed quite formally, as he wore a nice suit that was navy blue in colour. It was none other than the president of the United States, GO/USA. "Hello GO/USA," America says, greeting back his president.

GO/USA peeks at the invitation that America tightly held, and squints his eyes. "That is a New Year's Eve invitation from the EU, I suppose." he says, and America nods. "I was hoping I could go this year again," America replies. He celebrated his New Year's Eve in Europe every year, so it would probably be no different this year.

"Well—" GO/USA cut himself off, as another envelope caught his eye. It was a white envelope with red lining, and a maple leaf sticker. "What's this?" GO/USA took the envelope into his hands, and America shrugs. It was probably some sort of trade thing with Canada, not really anything special.

GO/USA opens the envelope and reads it, and America silently waits, staring at the New Year's Eve invitation from the EU. According to the invitation from the EU, this year's New Year's Eve would be celebrated in the city of Berlin, in Germany. America always wanted to go to Berlin anyways, so he didn't mind it taking place at Germany this year.

"It's a New Year's Eve invitation from PM/Canada, how lovely." GO/USA says. "Perhaps you should go, America." America hesitates, as was not very fond of or interested in celebrating New Year's with his northern neighbour. He shook his head, as he wished to celebrate his New Year's in Europe, as he did every year.

"I would much preferably want to go to Europe—" America is cut off by GO/USA. "You go to Europe every year, perhaps you should go to Canada for a change. He is a good ally and best friend of yours, anyways..."

America frowns, but he knew he didn't have much of a choice in this. He clutched the gold and blue lined envelope in his hands, peering at it while slowly crushing it with his tight grip. He thought of how wonderful it would be if only he could go and celebrate New Year's with his allies in Berlin.

America sighs, and he starts to daydream thinking about how awesome his New Years could be if he got to celebrate in Berlin with the other European countries. He would chug beer with Germany, eat Greece and Italy's delicious food, talk about silly things with France, argue with the UK, and he could—well do many other things.

The envelope in his grasp was now crushed and crumpled up, and no longer appeared as exciting as it did before.
