━━━ ( 🌹 ) IN WHICH, amara's family has held an extreme grudge against matt for a decade over something that happened in the third grade. amara thinks it's absolutely bullshit and always has, but either way, she must stay away from the boy. little does her family know, amara contained her friendship with the boy all these years and even finds herself developing unusual feelings for him along the way. she thought he felt mutual feelings, but it's not when matt gets a new girlfriend that amara realizes she's too late.

━━━ ( 🥀 ) IN WHICH, matt regrets not living up to amara's brother's standards, because now he must sneak around with her in secret. he never minded when he was younger because he loved her and wanted to continue talking to her no matter what, but all of a sudden it's different. he still loves her, of course, but he might love her too much which is devastating, considering the chances of them getting together. he grows annoyed when they mustn't speak to each other in public and when she has to lie to her dad so she could simply come over. without realizing, he finally gives up just when she's finally ready to risk it.
