"I'm here, I'm here your favorite child has arrived!" Bridget announced walking through the front door of her parent's house.

She quietly closed the front door behind her and proceeded into the living space where she saw her little brother sitting on the couch playing a game.

"Man, you wish." Her brother Braxton said turning his head in her direction, slightly lifting his headset off of his ear.

Bridget chuckled and plopped down on the couch next to him giving him a warm hug. "Shut up, hey little brother."

"What's up B?" He said rubbing his head against hers.

"Where's mommy and daddy?" She questioned looking around the room.

"Ma's doing Breya's hair upstairs and you know pops probably somewhere around here working out- come on man damn!" He shouted over the mic to who was probably one of his friends.

"Breya's here?" Bridget smiled. "I thought she was at granny's I need to see my baby."

Bridget stood up from the couch, still smiling, and made her way towards the stairs. "I'll go say hi to Mom and Breya," she said, glancing back at Braxton. "You focus on trying not to lose that game while I'm gone."

Braxton rolled his eyes playfully. "Yeah, yeah, go on. I got this under control."

Bridget was searching through the many rooms on the upper level of the house until she finally found her mom and little sister.

Breya, too distracted by her iPad didn't even notice Bridget knock on the door.

"Hey, mommy." She called out as she stepped into the room.

Her mother, Monay, turned around with a smile on her face. "Bridget, baby! you're finally here!" she exclaimed, rushing over to give her daughter a tight hug. "I've missed you so much."

Bridget hugged her mother back, feeling a surge of warmth and comfort. "I missed you too, mommy. How have you been?"

Monay pulled back slightly, her eyes shining with joy. "Oh, you know, the usual. Taking care of everyone and trying to keep up with this little girl," she said, gesturing towards her daughter, Breya, who was seated on a stool while Monay braided her hair.

Bridget's heart melted at the sight of her adorable five-year-old sister. "Hey, little miss troublemaker," she said playfully, crouching down to be at eye level with Breya. "How's my favorite girl doing?"
