My thoughts
Every
Single
Day
My thoughts are constantly at war with each other
Do this or don't do this
Say this or don't say this
Stand up for yourself or let them beat you down
Speak up for yourself or let them bully you
You see
I believe that nobody truly knows anybody
Sure
We may hang out with each other every day
But
The million dollar question is this...
Do we really, truly know each other
Everyone as I see it
Is created out of the thoughts that run through their minds
Anyone can put on a mask
It's whether they can hide behind it well enough or not
That truly defines us
The thoughts that run through our minds
Are the same thoughts that show others who we really are
So
Don't be afraid to take off your mask
No matter how beautiful you make it seem
Because
It's showing what you want others to see
If the people you supposedly call your "friends"
Don't appreciate you for who you truly are
Just ditch them
Go
Go and find people who will see the real beauty
Behind that seemingly already beautiful mask
It's okay
Go on
Do it
You won't regret it
