I finally finished packing my stuff and then speed walked to my moms car it was my first day at Hampton high and I was kinda nervous about it my BSff Kia was already in this school so she said she would help me around but inside I felt I wouldn't fit in even with her help I moved from England to NYC it's a crazy change right ? Well most of my family live in NYC and so my mom decided we should move there I had lots of friends in England I wanted to stay but i didn't really have a choice

I already knew Aiden would make good friends as he's been a socializer since he was born but me that's a different story I'm not that confident and im just comfortable being alone with my feelings sometimes
The car came to an abrupt pause signalling that we arrived me and my brother kissed our mom goodbye before walking towards the gate I couldn't see kaiyah standing at the gates and as soon as I turned my head aiden was gone so i was left spamming messages to her hoping she would open her phone
DD POV
As I was standing outside the gates with the gang in couldn't help but stare at the cute girl standing alone Fidgeting on her phone I was about to walk up to her but someone bugged my arm
" oooh David who you looking at like that " kaiyah said cackling
" chill with the government name and that shorty over there " I said pointing to the girl
" oh shit that's my friend " she said quickly pushing ddots arm off her and dashing towards the girl

In the distance I saw a short girl running towards me movinga away from the gang of guys as she came closer I recognized her face
" Kaiyah ! What took you so long I've been standing here for so long " I said hitting her arm with force
" I'm sorry I got distracted and I'm sry pls just give me a hug I've missed you " she said pulling me in
". Just cause I'm hugging you don't think I forgot you forgot about me " I said pushing her away
" oh pls ! Don't be so dramatic I love the outfit btw " she said looking me up and down impressed

"Well I haven't introduced you to everyone" she said eagerly pointing back to the group of aggressive looking boys then grabbing my hand
" Uh - they look fun but Uhm- I don't wanna be late on the first day so if you want to go with them that's fine I'll find my own way "I said loosing heer grip and walking in
She gave me one last hug before going back to the boys

I took one last glance at my clueless friend before walking back to the gang DD looking extra intrested
" who is she " notti said with a devious smirk making dd elbow him hard
" myy friend from England her names Kylie I tried to get her to come over but I guess she doesn't like looking at stinky asses " I said causing them to all laugh
" nah you fr tho ? " He said seriously
" DD chill out you ain't finna ruin my friends innocent lil life non of you infact is gonna date her all right" which made a smirk come across his face

I wasn't really inrested in my first class I was either staring into the abyss using my apple watch or sneakily using my phone to as I was back row I thought kia was in my class as i Heard her name being called out and 4 others being absent on the register but I knew kaiyah was in I got bored again and started using my apple watch a suddenly I heard a big bang from the door and 4 students including kaiyah walked in
" sry we're late miss" Kia said clearly holding in her laugh
" 15 mins late to class the 5th time this week isn't good enough huh?! What do you have to say for your selves justin ? David ? Ethan" he yelled
"Chill with the government name"they all said at the same time
"Just sit down "she said and they all did I just didn't realize david was taking the seat next to me
"What's up ma" he said sitting very close then putting an arm over my shoulder
" hello David" I said in a strange nervous robotic voice
"Why the fuck you talking like that" he asks
" David leave the new new girl alone and focus on the task that's been given" the teacher said then proceeded to talk to the whole class
David flung up a middle finger as he turned causing me to giggle a little
"I hope I get to see that. Smile of yours more often" he said immediately giving me butterflies.
