Untamed (Sequel to Unleashed)

One month

"No!"

Screams filled the night sky as I forced myself to wake up.

"You need to understand Anna, you have to understand."

"No," I say simply, "I don't have to understand anything. This was your plan not mine."

"With you being my descendent this makes it your plan too."

I shook my head, "Like hell it does."

Chaos erupted around us as I notice we weren't standing in the field behind my house anymore. Women and children dressed in olden times clothing ran screaming for their lives. Nearby I saw a black wolf approaching a mom and daughter who fell.

"No!" I yelled as I summoned air to me. Flinging it into the direction of the wolf he didn't move as he pulls back his upper lip in a snarl, before I even had the chance to race towards them, he jumps landing on the mother as he goes straight for her throat.

A chocked up sob formed in my throat as Angelica walks towards me and grabs my arm, "Do you see this! This is what's going to happen and is what's going to continue happening if you don't follow through with killing Harry on the summer solstice."

Tears fell down my cheek as I shook my head, "I can't kill him, I love him."

She nods, "I know, but you should know, nothing good ever happens when a witch and a wolf ends up together. One either dies, kills the other, or ends up being killed. Take your parents for example."

Looking up at the blood curdling scene in front of me I notice that the wolf was no longer black, but now white. Heat courses over my body as I shook my head.

"No."

I watched as the wolf shifts to its human form. His curly dark hair fell over his shoulders as I took in recognition of his height. Turning to me, face covered in blood I looked into the green eyes I knew were his as Angelica says, "Killing is in his nature Anna, it's only a matter of time be he comes for you."

I watched Harry as he locks eyes with me, head tilts to the side as if he was taking me in. Pulling a sinister smirk onto his lip he snarls as he takes a step towards me.

"He won't hurt me." I say with a shaky voice.

As Harry moved closer, I could feel Angelica backing from me as she says, "He did it once, what makes you think he won't do it again."

Just as the last word left her mouth he charged for me, a sharp pain pierced into my shoulder as I closed my eyes and screamed.

Jumping up I took in sharp breaths trying to calm down. Looking around the room I notice that I was still in the entertainment room. Art supplies covered the table in front of me as reruns of cooking shows played in the background on the tv. Turning to my left I looked to see Harry slouched down on the couch next to me with one arm on the arm of the couch propping his head up and the other stretched out along the back of the couch. His breaths heavy as I watched his chest rise and fall with each one.

Closing my eyes I leaned forward placing my hands on the back of my neck as I let my mind roam. This was the 6th times I dreamt of Angelica since I ascended, the 6th time she reminded me that I was to kill Harry on the summer solstice, which just so happens to be June 21, a few days after Daniel is to graduate high school.
