Micah POV - two weeks later

I smile when I see Alex on the TV screen.

There's your girl!

I smile at Matt.

I'm so proud of her.

My sister kisses my head and we start watching the game.

I'm reading the captions, which are highlighting how well Alex has been playing and that this tournament will be a catalyst for her to move to the senior team.

I smile.

'They're right.'

Alex gets a ball from Syd and strikes it past the Chinese keeper.

I raise my arms up and my sister squeezes me.

She scored! Holy shit that's awesome!

I nod.

She's a superstar.

She smiles and we turn back to the game.

It quickly finishes up and I smile as Alex scores a brace.

They pull her to interview and I start to feel a little upset that she's not here.

I read the captions.

"Alex, what a game! What was your motivation today?"

She smiles and signs while she talks.

You know, I always want to win, and today, the team played really well. Syd set me up perfectly on both goals. Secondly, my girlfriend is back home recovering from a major surgery and I'll always play for her.

I smile widely.

"That's great, but I have to ask, are you signing?"

Alex smiles.

I am. My girlfriend is also deaf so I want to make sure that she hears me loud and clear. I miss you and love you, babe!

I chuckle.

"That's really cool. We can't wait to see what the rest of this tournament holds for you." The reporter says.

She nods and takes off.

I feel a squeeze and turn to look at my sister.

She really loves you, that's amazing.

I nod.

I miss her so much already. Two more weeks is going to be hard.

She smiles sadly.

You'll be okay. She's going to FaceTime you in like 30 minutes.

I lay back and sigh then close my eyes.

I groan and open my eyes.

You have to get up and walk, Mic.

I whine.

I'm tired.

My phone starts buzzing and she reaches then snatches it.

Hi Alex. Tell Micah that she needs to get up and go for a walk.

She smiles at me and hands the phone back.

Goodluck!

I look at the phone and smile at Alex.

Hi, great game!

She glares at me.

Why don't you want to go for a walk?

I sigh.
