"Blake Grem, 17, he found his mother hanging from a ceiling fan in the kitchen."
I heard a policeman say to one of his co-workers once the shock and ringing in my ears subsided.
I felt like shit.. Anyone would if they came home from school to see their mom blue in the face with a rope around her neck.
"Shit.."
I murmured to myself as I felt tears well up in my eyes, I bit the inner of my lip to stop myself. The last thing I would do is cry in front of these douchebags who only care about donuts and their paycheck. But fuck, I really needed to cry.
I stood up from where I sat, my limbs shaky from the adrenaline that had previously been coursing through my body.
"Hey."
I heard a voice call out to me, shit. I put my hands in the pockets of my worn down ripped jeans and tilted my head downwards, taking a deep breath so I wouldn't cry the minute I opened my mouth to talk.
"Yeah?"
"Have you got anyone to stay with? Any relatives? Your dad maybe? Just temporarily while we treat your mom in the hospital."
Does he really think saying that is going to make me feel better? She's dead. I know she's dead from the way her once warm hands felt cold against my skin, and the way her lifeless eyes stared down at me from where she was hanging. The thought of it caused a large lump in my throat.
"Cut the shit.."
I choked, the tears I had been struggling to hold onto beginning to stream down my face.
"I know she's dead, I'm not stupid.. The only other relative I have is my uncle. My dad left when I was 4."
The man let out a long heavy sigh and put his hands on his hips
"I'm sorry, kid. Why don't you give your uncle a call and you can make arrangements to move in?"
"Yeah, sure, whatever.."
I roughly wiped the tears from my face and turned away from the policeman before he could say anything else to me, sitting down on the curb I'd previously been on I pulled out my phone and unlocked it, I typed in his number and called him, I stared at the black screen as the phone rung.
The next few days were a blur, it was mostly just a ton of planning, packing, and driving. And the next thing I knew, I was on a plane to Florida.. No more timbits and snowboarding I guess.
I stared out of the window as I left the ground, my stomach felt like it did a backflip, this was my first time on a plane, just my luck that I'd get a window seat.
I looked away from the window and sunk into my seat, my hands gripped the arm rests so hard my knuckles were white.
"Fuckity, fuck, fuck.."
I murmured to myself, hearing a snicker coming from the man beside me, I quickly sat up and cleared my throat, side-eyeing him before speaking
"Something funny, asshole?"
He raised his brows and looked at me, he looked to be my age with tanned skin and dark brown hair, dyed a faded forest green at the ends, he parted his lips to speak but just rolled his eyes and went back to reading his book. The fuck? I furrowed my brows and crossed my arms, biting my tongue to try to prevent myself from saying anything. It didn't work.
"Whatever.. Glad you're not talking, you probably sound like a fucking billy goat."
He sighed and closed his book, a hint of annoyance evident on his face.
"Funny how someone who swears every two sentences is calling me a type of animal."
"I might swear every two sentences but at least I don't look like a fucking bull frog."
Yeah, definitely a bull frog, he's not hot at all.
"Learn to use another word to emphasize other than 'fuck', idiot."
My eyebrow twitched in annoyance and I grabbed him by the collar, just barely catching myself before my eyes could trail down to his lips. Fuck, I lied, he's really hot.
"What the hell did you call me?"
"Congratulations, you used a different word.. Now get off me."
He gripped my hand, I scoffed and dropped him, why are the hot ones always pricks? I leaned back into my seat and put in my earbuds, beginning to listen to music.

The plane crashed and everyone died.
The end.
