"Aren't they serious now? Allyuh have a child."

"You know what I mean." I laughed.

"And what did you tell him?"

"I do just not now, which is the truth."

"Okay good."

Laughing at her attitude, we went back to packing. Once we were finished, I booked a ride for us to get to the airport. The ride along the way was quiet entertaining. Between the driver getting in a heated discussion with Shan and me trying not to laugh because I knew she was provoking the man, we finally reached the airport.

"You're a hot mess."

"No. Next time he needs to hush if he doesn't know accurate information."

"That is true."

Finishing check in at the counter, we went to the food court then made our way upstairs.

"I swear the airport KFC does just taste so good."

As I was about to respond, baby August woke up and was rather hungry, judging by his cry.

"That boy has a set of lungs on him." The person next to us said.

Giving a simple smile and nod, I took him out of his carrier and began nursing.

"Did I tell you how much I loved you for this carrier?"

"Yes you did but it doesn't hurt to hear it again."

"See how self centred your godmommy is boy?" I looked down at him.

"Will he go back to sleep?"

"I doubt. I just don't want his ears to bother him."

"Yeah, that's why I asked."

"We'll just have to wait and see, don't we bub." I rubbed his head.

Gaining a spitty giggle, he went back to nursing as Shanice and I conversed.

***********

"Thanks for coming to get us."

Strapping my son's carrier in the backseat of Kevin's Jeep, I made sure it was completely secure while he placed our bags in on the other side.

"You lucky I was home sis." He laughed.

I had landed in Atlanta over and hour now and spent thirty minutes trying to get onto August. When I realized it was complete failure, I called Kevin.

"And I appreciate it."

"Hey, if I couldn't, I would have still tried somehow. So don't sweat it."

"I just don't want to believe he forgot us."

"He's been going hard too so it probably did slip his mind."

Not saying anything, I glanced at my now sleeping son, then gazed out of the window.

"You wanna stop for something to eat?"

"Sure. Not like I'm in a rush or anything."

"Don't be like that sis."

Rolling my eyes, I looked at my phone when it vibrated. Seeing a message from Shan letting me know that she had landed safe, I replied then opened Instagram. While scrolling, I paused when I saw a post on one of Aug's fan pages.
