Instead of approaching Beomgyu, the dean went upstairs. Beomgyu tried to calm his racing thoughts, but then his gaze returned to Yeonjun's stressed face, which seemed far from stable. What in the world was happening?

When beomgyu descended the stairs and headed toward Yeonjun, Yeonjun stood up and delivered a sentence that completely caught Beomgyu off guard, "Yeji's dead." Right, no, what? Who? Yeji? Confusion flooded Beomgyu's mind as he tried to process the shocking news. "Everyone, to your rooms!" the dean ordered, approaching the students. Nobody had anticipated something like this would ever happen, not even Beomgyu. A student was dead—actually, two students were, but only Beomgyu and Yeonjun knew the full story.

"What?" Beomgyu shouted, his voice barely audible over the clamor that surrounded them. He couldn't comprehend what was happening. He wondered if it was all a delusion or a dream, but the reality hit him hard when he tilted his head and saw ambulances and a body on an emergency gurney. Was this real? Could it be?

Yeonjun shook him by the shoulder, trying to get his attention. "Beomgyu... we need to talk," he urged. Beomgyu mouthed absentmindedly, "Huh?" As Yeonjun took his hand in his own, their hands fitting together perfectly like magnets, Beomgyu started walking with him. They ascended the stairs, passing by the hallway, the cafe, and the bathroom, eventually reaching... Beomgyu's room?

Once inside, Yeonjun closed the door and spoke urgently, "There was no blood... like there was no blood on Zico... there was... how did it happen, Beomgyu?" He was seeking answers from Beomgyu as if Beomgyu would have any.

"I... I don't know, Yeonjun," Beomgyu stammered. Yeonjun sat down on Beomgyu's bed in frustration and said, "What if they... no... I feel terrible; one of our classmates just died, and here I am worried about what if someone finds out about Zico's body." Yeonjun's legs were trembling uncontrollably, and Beomgyu stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to say. He tried, "When did she..."

Yeonjun cut him off, saying, "From what I know, she collapsed in the girls' washroom." The rhythm of his leg shaking intensified, and Beomgyu noticed. Beomgyu continued, "It means..."Yeonjun cut him off again, adding, "It means that maybe Zico's death is related to Yeji's death somehow." Beomgyu nodded in hesitation.

"Will you please shut up?" Both of them heard a voice they didn't want to hear, sending a jolt of fear through their bodies. Their hearts pounded as they watched someone's head emerge from the adjacent bed – it was Taehyun. Just when they thought things couldn't get worse. He was wearing his headphones as usual. Taehyun's eyes bore into both of them with an unusual anger. "Get out, Beomgyu... if you're... whatever," he muttered, closing his eyes and returning to his phone.

Yeonjun's breaths were shallow as he stood up and whispered, "Why didn't you tell me he was here?" Beomgyu calmly replied, "You didn't let me speak." Yeonjun sighed in frustration.

Yeonjun grasped Beomgyu's hand, and both of them stepped out. As they did, Yeonjun bumped into Soobin. "Bro, what are you doing here? Didn't you hear? They're ordering us to stay in our rooms," Soobin yelled at Yeonjun. His attention then shifted to the small figure standing behind Yeonjun. Was it... Beomgyu? Yes, it was. Soobin made a comical face and teased, "Hey, airhead." But he immediately regretted saying that – it had been Beomgyu's nickname for a few years now, and everyone knew it. Beomgyu was aware of it but didn't mind.

"I was just coming," Yeonjun explained, his grip on Beomgyu's hand tightening. Soobin raised an eyebrow and asked, "Coming with him?" Yeonjun let go of Beomgyu's hand abruptly and briefly looked back at him. He then replied, "No, he was just... nervous, so I was taking him to the infirmary to get some medicine." Everyone knew Beomgyu had a tendency to be easily frightened, or so they thought. Soobin believed Yeonjun and said, "Come on, let's go; otherwise, we'll get scolded." He urged Yeonjun to leave, but Yeonjun hesitated, reluctant to leave Beomgyu behind.
