I closed the door, and locked it. I turned, and looked into the mirror. I scanned my features in the mirror. My eyes glanced over all the cuts, and scrapes. Once I scanned my face, I continued to my neck, then down my arms, and finally I stopped. I let out a long sigh. Finally, peace and quiet. I started to undress myself. Once I was naked, I looked down at my body. I cringed, I didn't like how my body looked. All the scrapes, and scars that spotted my body. The bruises and scabs. I didn't care that my body had them, just. Where they came from was the problem.

...

The memory that belonged to them, was the worst part. I tore my eyes away, afraid to look anymore. I quickly hopped in the shower, turning the nozzle to hot. The pitter patter of water, set me at eaze. The feeling of the drops, grazing my back was calming. My tense back, going soft at the relaxing feeling. I sighed, and closed my eyes. I hummed a song I learned, and washed myself. I loved showers. I loved how the hot water almost burned my skin, and the steam hitting my face. It was lovely.

...

Once I was done, I turned the tap, and hopped out of the shower. Almost slipping, but I caught myself. I let out a relieved sigh, and grabbed a towel from the towel rack. I grabbed the red towel, and dried myself off, including my hair. I grabbed my clothes, and put them on. I looked at the body mirror, and spun around to see myself. I didn't hate it, but it also wasn't the best. I sighed, and brushed my teeth. Then I walked out of the bathroom, all the steam mixing with the air. I had the same towel wrapped around my hair, trying my best to keep it up.

...

I walked to my room, opening the door. I listened as I heard someone get up, I chuckled. I looked in my room, and my sister was standing right infront of my bed. My mood dropped, My smile turning into a frown. "What?" She asked, confused as to why my mood was so down.

...

I rolled my eyes, and set my dirty clothes in the hamper. I turned to my desk, grabbing a black hair tie. I started to put my hair up, into a pony until my sister started talking. I zoned her out, ignoring whatever she had to say. "I think you're being sent away.." I heard. My eyes widened. 'Sent away? Where?' I thought.

...

I turned my head slightly, looking over to her. "Where?" I asked, she gave me a dumbfounded look. "Where." I repeated myself, more stern. "I-, I don't know.." She looked down in shame, and I scoffed. "Ofcourse you dont." I mumbled, she seemed to have heard, cause she frowned. "Whatever, I'm going downstairs." I said, maybe my parents would tell me where they're 'sending me.'

...

Before I got an answer, I closed the door to my room, walking down the stairs. My mother was in the dining room, eating eggs and bacon, with some milk. "Hey mom-" I got cut off. "Don't call me that." She said, not looking away from the book she was reading. "Sorry," I scoffed, "Emra said you're sending me somewhere, is that true?" I asked, lifting an eyebrow.

...

I was standing in the middle of the room. Facing the woman seated on a chair. " ... " She didn't respond. She slowly looked up from her book, and crossed her legs. "Ask your dad. He'll tell you." She responded. I felt my throat go dry, and my breathing became unstable.

...

She ignored me, and motioned for me to leave. I sighed, and walked to the living room, to grab my shoes. I saw my brother, sitting, watching tv on the couch. He waved at me, and I smiled. I was pretty close with my brother. Me and my brother are twins, I'm still older.. By a couple minutes.

...

But, unlike my brother, I'm the disappointment in the family. I grabbed my shoe's, and put them on. I felt eyes staring at me, and I wondered why. "Where are you going?" He asked, I finished tying my shoelaces and glanced at him. "Park." I said, smiling. "Wanna come?" I asked, he squinted his eyes thinking, and then smiled.

...

"Sure!" He responded. He removed the blanket to reveal his lower body. Showing, he already had his shoes on.. I cringed, he was wearing shoes with a blanket on? Weird. "What? Why are you looking at me like, that?" He asked, lifting himself out of bed. "Um, You're wearing shoes.." I said, looking him up, and down. He lifted an eyebrow, and squinted his face.

...

"Yea?" He said, clueless as to why that is weird. "Whatever" I shrugged, not wanting to explain it. He stood up, and we both walked to the door. It was a relatively sunny day, so we didn't grab jackets, we didn't think we'd need them. We headed out the door's, and walked down the street sidewalks. We passed by multiple houses.

...

We walked through the small neighborhood, surrounded by comfortable silence. "Mmm" My brother hummed, I looked at him. We continued walking, "what?" I asked, He smiled, "we should get ice cream!" He said, looking my way. I nodded, and grabbed the money out of my back pocket. I always kept, at least 30$ with me, just in case. "I think the ice-cream truck, should be out right now." I said, looking at him. He nodded, and then looked forward.

...

His eyes widened, a huge smile crept on his face. "Look!" He shouted, pointing in front of himself. I looked, and there it was. Standing tall, and beautiful. The ice-cream truck had about, 3-4 kids surrounding it. Their parents waiting at the park, which was close by. Me, and my brother, walked over to the ice-cream truck. We waited in the small line that formed, and just talked. "What flavor are you getting?" My brother asked. "Um, I'm not sure. I might just go with vanilla-" I was cut off by a horrible headache, that formed out of no-where. "Ahh" I mumbled, holding my head with my hands. "Are you ok?" "Yes, I'm fine nathan." I responded, still holding my head. He looked at me, and lifted an accusing eyebrow. "Are you being sarcastic, or..." He said, looking a bit sheepish.

...

I scoffed, and continued holding my head. "Of course I'm being sarcastic! Look at me!" I screamed, he looked around awkwardly. "Maybe ice-cream will help?" He said, sounding like he's questioning himself. "Umm, are you going to order, or-" the girl asked. I looked at my brother, and he turned to her. "Two strawberry dipped cones. Please." he responded.

...

The girl nodded, and took the money out of his hand. She then went back to grab the cones. "So, what now?" I asked my brother, still holding my head in pain. He shrugged, "We can go to the park?" He said, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. "Ok." I said, looking back at the girl. She handed us both cones, and we started walking. "Sooo~" I said, bored out of my mind. "WAIT!" Someone yelled.

...

"Huh?" I muttered, and turned around. There standing behind me, was a brown haired-blue eyed girl. "U-umm.." she stuttered, looking very nervous. I snorted at her awkwardness. Her eyes widened, and she frowned. "Don't mind her. She didn't mean it in a bad way, she laughs at everything." My brother told her, she seemed to relax a little. "U-um, I w-was wondering. Could I hang out with you guys?" She stated, fidgeting with her fingers. I looked at my brother, to see him already looking at me. I looked at him, glanced at her, and then looked back at him. He rolled his eyes, and turned to the girl. "Why?" I asked, genuinely curious.

...

Her eyes widened, and she opened her mouth. She paused, and closed her mouth, hinting she's speechless. "U-um, Because y-you look co-ol?" She said, sounding if it was a question, rather than an answer. I looked at my brother, and he just shrugged. "Um, ok?" I said, she seemed to perk up.
