I woke up this morning, from a call from my mum. I quickly answered and slowly got out from bed, where my boyfriend Dream was sleeping.
I walked into the hallway and put the phone to my ear.
"Ciao mamma."

"Ciao George, come stai? And how's Clay? He's such a sweetheart."
(Hi George, how are you?)
"I'm fine mamma, and so is Clay, he's asleep right now so."

I heard something rustling on the other side of the phone.
"Make him breakfast if he's not awake. Come on, tesoro. Make him some frittelle di ricotta."

I put the phone down and made my way back into mine and Dreams shared room. I watched as he stirred in his sleep as I carefully slid back underneath the covers.
"Mhm.. George.."
"Yeah Dream?"
"M' hungry.."
"I'll go make you some food amore."

He thanked me quietly, not thinking about the nickname I had given him, as I got up and made my way to the kitchen. I got out everything I'd need for ricotta pancakes and started making them. I'm not the best chef in the world but I'm good at pancakes. As the pancakes were being cooked, I stated the kettle to make Dream some tea and I poured myself a cup of orange juice.
I finished the pancakes and put them on a plate. I worked my way upstairs, with Dreams food and drink in my hand.
"I'm back tesoro."

"Thank you.. wait- what'd you call me?"
"Your welcome. And it's just a nickname angelo."

"I- uh.. is that-? What language is that?"
"Not telling."
"Rude."
He looked down at the food and started eating.
After his first bite he looked up at me in awe.
"These are so good!"

I shrugged my shoulders and sat in bed with him, sipping on my apple juice.

He looked up at me for approval, as I nodded and grabbed the remote, going to Disney+. Dream placed his empty plate and half drink tea on the bedside table, before snuggling into my shoulder.
"I still don't know what language you're talking, by the way. And I find that extremely unfair."
"It's fine piccola. It's just-"

I huffed, chucking the remote on the covers.
"It's a way of.. expressing my feelings I guess? I don't know it's just easier to say it when someone doesn't understand it as well as I do."
"Oh- ok that's fine. I was joking by the way, I do not mind."
He kissed my cheek gently, before smiling at me. I kissed his forehead and placed my head onto the top of his, which was on my shoulder.

I had been secretly learning Italian for George for a month now. When I figured out he spoke Italian, I thought it'd be nice for me to learn some and talk to him in it.
I grabbed my phone and texted him.

I switched my phone off and started walking up the stairs. I reached the door of our room and walked in. I saw Dream sitting on our shared king bed. Smiling, he got up and made his way towards me. Clasping my hands he placed his head in between my shoulder and my neck.
"What's up amore mio?"
(My love)
"Nothing. Ti amo tanto George.. Spero che tu lo sappia e sono così felice di uscire con te."
(I love you so much George.. I hope you know that I'm so happy I'm dating you).
"Wait.. what?"
"I- did I not say it properly-? I've been learning for a month.."
"No you did! Your accents a bit off but still. It was just shocking. Thank you so much."
"Your welcome. I love you."
