If you see the picture rn, you should know that I'm going to go on a rant about the Splatoon series. Especially now that the Leader Splatfest ended...
Basic thing, if you don't know already, is that it's set sometime when humans went extinct and octopuses and squid began to evolve to a more human-like form.
They lived peacefully until the rising sea levels caused them to lash out against each other in a power struggle over the remaining land, resulting in the Great Turf War, at least 2,000 years before the events of the first Splatoon game.
In Splatoon Hero Mode, the octarians "squidnapped" the Great Zapfish, that gives Inkopolis its power(electricity-wise), as revenge for the Great Turf War. The player goes through 5 sets of levels in Octo Valley to save the Great Zapfish and Inkopolis.
This is same for Splatoon 2, but different for Splatoon 3 in which I won't tell because at least half of the population doesn't like/know/played Splatoon.
Now, onto the fact for today!
This is mainly about Agent 4; we can talk about the Leader Splatfest another time-
Agent 4 is the protagonist of Splatoon 2, them being the player character who goes through levels in Octo Canyon under Marie of the Squid Sisters to save Inkopolis Square.
They are different, with 4 being able to choose whatever weapon Shelldon recommended them to try based on the level. Now the main topic is:
What happened to Agent 4?
Now the fandom has wondered this immensely, coming up with headcanons that are either angsty, have something to do with the new DLC, Side Order, or just didn't make sense.
Now here I come with one of those same headcanons.
Well, some people have played Splatoon 3, right? Seen how the inklings look taller than most? Yes, it is relevant to my topic. I'd like to say that Agent 4 is New Agent 3. Not just bc of the height difference, but reminder. Splatoon 3 is set just after the events of Splatoon 2. That's 5 YEARS.
Now, I know that our players in Splatoon 3 are, like 14, but just think about it! Even the new half-braid style has the same bangs as the short bob style from Splatoon 2! And what is our main female Agent 4's main hairstyle? A SHORT BOB BABY!
SAME FOR THE MALE AGENT 4, THE LONGER TENTACLES LOOK SIMILAR TO M! 4'S HAIR!
