It was midnight in Calla, Edolas. In the basement of "The Tiger's Maw", the Sabertooth thieves guild gathered around an oaken table.

"As you all know, Yukino was arrested yesterday. Thanks to Minerva, we know she's being held at the police station and that the trial is in two days. We need to break her out before then. Rogue has come up with a pla-" Sting was interrupted by a series of groans. Rogue had gained a reputation for being, well, not exactly low profile.

"No it's not that bad this time. Minerva is going to sneak her a lock-pick and Rogue is going to distract the guards." Sting finished.

"With all due respect, it is that bad. Sting, we both know he's just going to set the police station on fire." Dobengal said exasperatedly. Rogue grinned, not denying the allegations. Sting sighed.

"No, he's not. He going to send Wisp in to do her hellspawn routine." Sting explained. Wisp was Rogue's pet crow. He had taught her some phrases and had trained her to cause havoc or to act like a well trained bird.

"What do you mean 'Routine'. That bird is as bad as he is!" Dobengal sniped, but gave in.

The next morning, Rogue walked to the police station, Wisp on his shoulder. He looked at his watch. 10 minutes until 11:27, which was the time he and Minerva had agreed on. He resolved to wait.

The time came. Rogue looked at Wisp and put a finger to his lips, which meant not to speak in human words. He whispered the phrase he reserved for telling her to cause havoc, pointing her to the police station.

"Wisp, Showtime!"

The crow darted from his shoulder into the open door of the station. Rogue could hear shouts of confusion from inside, including Minerva's. She didn't like Wisp very much.

Possibly because Rogue had a habit of saying 'Showtime' to himself anytime he did anything of importance. She did not need to know that.

He entered the police station, knowing that including Minerva, there were three people downstairs and one guard upstairs, plus Yukino and whoever else might have been arrested recently.

"I'm so sorry, I don't know what got into her! She's usually so sweet. Could you please help me catch her?" Rogue asked, playing the role of a frantic pet owner. He could hear the guard upstairs coming down to see what the commotion was about.

The guards and Minerva tried in vain to capture the crow, who seemed to be having a blast.

"Don't hurt her!" he cried out as one of the guards came just a hair's width away from catching her.

"Don't worry, kid, we've got this." Minerva said, grabbing her backpack to use as a net.

Rogue stared at her as she failed miserably at catching Wisp with it. To add injury to insult, the crow settled on a half empty coffee mug, which she proceeded to fly off with and keep in the air long enough to drop on her head.

Rogue struggled to keep a straight face. He made a mental note to give Wisp extra treats for this, and another to Rufus about this.

A good half hour later, Rogue discreetly signaled to Wisp to stop. She allowed herself to be stuffed into Minerva's backpack, which took a level of humility he could only dream of.

"Thank you so much, officers! I'm so sorry this happened." he apologized, bowing his head.

"Please keep a closed eye on her in the future. Have a nice day!" responded one of the policemen. Rogue promised he would, but as soon as he was out of sight, he released his partner in crime from her prison.

He was going to head to the bar to get some lunch, and of course to have a nice chat with Rufus over Wisp's newfound talent.

Yukino leaned against the holding-cell wall. There was no one here but her. She had already picked the lock, but had chosen to wait before making her escape to avoid implicating her guild mates.

As the guard came back up, he passed by the door. Yukino charged, slamming into the door. It hit the guard full force, winding him.

"Guess who forgot to lock the door!" she said smugly, before running down the stairs. She was already at the bottom when the guard sounded the alarm.

As she dashed for the door, she passed by Minerva, her hair drenched and a scowl on her face.

The other two cops followed her into the street, but she cut through narrow alleyways. When she was sure she had lost them, she looped back, giving the police station a wide berth.

Rogue was almost done with his meal when Yukino walked in, sitting at the bar next to him.

"What have you been up to these days?" he asked her.

"At Min's dad's place. It was great, I had my own room, my food was served to me and there was always someone to keep me company." Yukino answered, helping herself to his bread. He glared at her, but let it go in favor of something more exciting.

"Did you see Minerva on your way out?" he asked, feeling an evil smile growing on his face.

"Yeah, she looked wet. And mad. What was that about?" she responded, sensing a story.

"Well you see...
