Empires Season 1 Highschool AU (Flower Husbands)

1 - Scott's POV

I put my hands over the sides of my face hoping no one would recognise me but somehow, they always found me. "Ice freak!" someone shouted. Oh no... They found me. Someone shoved into me and I began to run. I got to the school building and rushed to my locker. Once I got there, I heard a voice and smiled.

"LIZZIE! Give it BACK!" he commanded. I looked over and saw Jimmy Shadow. I blushed and hid my face. If Lizzie saw me looking at her brother, I would be dead in seconds. I finished putting everything in my locker, I went to my first class. Maths. UGH! I'm so bad at maths.

At class

I sat down into my usual seat next to Xornoth. Lizzie was sitting next to me originally but she requested to move and Xornoth was the only one who would sit next to me. I'm glad because I DO NOT want to sit with Lizzie. I would have complained but I would have been told I was a jerk for not wanting to sit next to her. She was pretty popular and loved my everyone and when I say popular I mean boys drooled after her and she was the type of person that made girls lesbian. I saw Jimmy come in and avoided looking at him but failed miserably. I caught his eye and hurriedly looked away, blushing madly. He looked at me! I mean he does look at me a lot but I guess that was wasn't full of hate just like a "hi" look. I don't know, I'm overthinking it. I was so zoned out that I didn't notice what the teacher was saying. Until he addressed me. "Scott Major! What is the answer to the question I just asked?"

"Ummm," Xornoth leaned over to me slightly and whispered,

"76,"

"76 sir." I said and the teacher looked surprised but continued with the lesson. "Thanks Xor," I whispered as quietly as I could. He's saved my neck so many times, I owe him so much. My parents aren't very nice to him either but it's so frustrating because I can't DO anything about it. Anyway, must pay attention. I'm already failing as it is.

After what felt like hours, the bell finally rang and I could leave. This was where Xornoth wasn't with me as I walked to English.

"Hi Scott," came an Australian voice from my desk. I smiled and walked over to her.

"Hi Pearl, how are you?" I asked, sitting down. She smiled and replied,

"I'm pretty good how about you, Jimmy taken any notice to you?" Towards the end, her voice became teasing.

"Shhhh!" I said putting my hand over her mouth. Then I lowered my voice to a whisper, "Joel takes this class-"

"So what?" Pearl asked, confused. I rolled my eyes and continued, annoyed,

"Because Joel is dating Lizzie-" I was cut off for the second time by Pearl,

"Wait- they are! Why haven't I heard this!"

"Because they are pretty secretive I only heard because I accidentally walked in on them kissing in an empty classroom. Anyway, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted, Joel and Lizzie are dating so if Joel hears this he will tell Lizzie who will do two things, 1, she'll kill me and, 2, she'll tell Jimmy and either way, my life will be over!"

"You are over thinking this. And what do you see in him anyway?" Pearl asked.

"Have you seen him? He's perfect! His eyes and hair..." I trailed off as I practically slipped onto a daydream. Pearl shook me and rolled her eyes.

Time skip to the end of school

(There is a bit of a TW in the next part for bullying)

I walked through the halls, hoping that no one would see me walking home on my own. Xornoth was good protection but he was at football club. I was thinking that maybe they wouldn't notice me. "Hey ice freak!" A voice came from behind me. I jinxed it. I turned around to see Jimmy and his friends. I sighed and pleaded,

"Please not today, I need to get home." Marcus just rolled his eyes at me and shoved me. Great. Another one, who I didn't know the name of, punched me and I knew that they weren't going to stop anytime soon. The rest all joined in, including jimmy and I may or may not have started to cry.

"Aww, the little baby's going to cryyy," Jimmy teased. That hurt even more than any of the punches.

About 20 minutes later, they decided they had had enough and left me in a sobbing ball on the sidewalk.   I couldn't stay here feeling sorry for myself. So I got I on my aching legs and started to walk back home.

When I got there, I put on a fake smile and told my parents school was great. And then went up to my room to cry until Xornoth came home where he would comfort me.
