Pure Waters

As my eyes grow weary
Of the dull light of day
And my heart's blaze
Fades into ash

As the cold disapproval
Of a selfish world
Blows a chill breeze
Through frozen skies

I find a place by the reeds
At a slow river's edge
Kindle a small flame
In the midst of the wild

Forget all the voices
Forget all the pain
And drink from pure waters
Till spring
