Ivory's pov

I wake up to my alarm clock  going off I check it it's 5 in the morning since it's Sunday it's chore day. I sat there staring at the wall for a few minutes thinking about going back to sleep but despite me wanting to go to sleep things have to get done so I get up and go to the bathroom after I got done peeing I brush my teeth and shower quickly. I get out of the bathroom in just a towel and quickly run to my room going to my closet and picking out a jumper it's a yellow one with flowers it's new I got it from the local market two days ago with momma. I decided to put on boots and a jacket since I'm doing feild work today and it just got done raining after that I get my keychain and walk out the door heading for the shed.  i live in a little town in the country with my two siblings aj and lani my step dad and my momma. we live in a neighborhood where u just walk down the street and there farmhouses no malls no restaurants pretty much nothing but farm houses local markets and schools. it's not like the olden days where it's no tv or anything like that like we have malls and stuff we just have to drive out for it. I finally make it to the shed I grab the broom and my gloves after that I start focusing on my chores trying to get them done as fast as possible so I can do whatever for the rest of the day. I sweep get the weeds out the yard and water the grass that takes me about an hour and a half after I'm done. I put the stuff I used back in the shed and go back in the house planning on showering again. when I walk in the house I see lani on the couch eating cereal out the box watching frozen and aj on the floor in the kitchen playing with his cars while my momma cooks breakfast. hey baby thank u for helping out outside I was looking out the window it looks lovely my momma says hugging me she gives me a kiss on the forehead i return the hug before I tell her I need to shower and go to my room. we live in a a one story farmhouse with three rooms a kitchen a bathroom and a small living room I have my own room it's a decent size aj and lani share a room and my mom and stepdad get the master bedroom. I grab a towel and go to the bathroom stripping out of my dirty clothes and putting them in a hamper then I quickly shower and put on a hoodie and jeans. I throw my hair into a quick puff not feeling like dealing with it.

I decide to join lani on the couch she's still watching frozen. I only half pay attention to it since it's constantly on repeat since she's obsessed. it's like seven right now so we're just chilling around this time everyone's pretty much in there own world David (stepdad ) had left for work before everybody had gotten up he gets off around two. I don't mind David he's nice and he makes my mom happy he's done more for me then my bio dad every did I dont really remember my bio dad much but my mom said he left after he got caught cheating with another woman when I was like three. I love my momma I look up to her so much compared to what she's does I'm not doing anything yet she still praises me whenever I do something around the house. I snap out of my zone when my momma taps my shoulder I look up and she hand me a plate with waffles eggs and sausage. oh thanks ma i say you welcome she says as she goes and makes ajs plate I eat my food quickly since I was very hungry momma imma go get Madison Alright she says be safe I will I say as I put back on my boots and walk out the door. Madison lives three houses down from me so it's about a five minute walk me and Madison are best friends we have been best friends since we were young we pretty much hang out every day to the point we're she practically lives at my house. it's not a problem tho my family loves her and she knows she's welcome any time. it's sorta weird though cause when we were younger I'd go to Madison house often and she'd come over mine often to but awhile back she decided we would just come to mine and made reasons why I shouldn't come over like the house isn't clean enough or stuff like that I never really thought of why I just accepted it and we chilled out at mine. I realized I had spaced out again and I'm now standing in front of Madison's house I knock on the door a few time before going to sit on the step. I hear arguing inside I wait a few more minutes and Madison walks out closing the door behind her she's wearing jeans sneakers and a long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up. I notice a bruise what's that I ask pointing at her arm she quickly covers it up and walks down the stairs oh nothing I just bumped into my dresser. oh ok I say meeting her walk you should probably put some medicine on that tho before it gets sore she nods and put her hands in her pocket you ok I ask noticing her mood isn't how it usually is . yeah I'm fine I just got into a fight with my mom she's being a total bitch over nothing that's sucks I say as i side hug her by the time we were done talking we were in front of my house again. lani was running around throwing a ball while aj was sitting in the grass playing with a board game my mom was sitting on the Porch watching them while drinking her coffee. hey mom I say as I walk through the door hey ma Madison says giving her a side hug and walking through the door. Madison and my mom are very close considering Madison and me have been friends since we were young Madison has known my family for awhile so my mom pretty much considers Madison one of her own which I find really cute. we head for the kitchen grabbing a few snacks then we go to my room. we put all the snacks we grabbed on the bed Madison grabs one of the blanket I left on the floor and climbs on the bed. can u braid my hair she ask me opening a bag of chips sure I say imma go my brush I say going over to the dresser grabbing a brush gel and sum rubber bands.  after I get the supplies I sit behind her on the bed and start on her hair as I do her hair we just talk about random stuff just catching up on little things. I end up braiding her hair in two French braids and giving her a middle part your hair has grown a lot it's down your back I say running my hands down the braids. thanks she says looking in mirror I love them no problem I say. ay mama said food ready I hear lani scream from the outside of my door we both quickly go out the room going to see what she made. it ended up being chicken Alfredo and garlic bread one of my favorites. are plates are already made so we all gather around the table say a quick prayer and start eating. after dinner me and Maddison cleaned off the table and put the dishes in the sink while momma gave aj and lani bathes. after we cleaned up the kitchen we were tired i quickly changed into my pajamas and I gave Madison one of my pajama sets to change into after we were changed we both got into bed and fell asleep pretty quickly

I have no complaints except for one lol 😭✋🏾I had to rewrite this entire chapter like I had it all written down all I had to do was edit it but somehow wattpad had deleted the draft I saved so I had to rewrite and edit this whole thing I'm not mad tho cuz I like how it came out if ur reading thank u :)
