Eleventh Flag - Don't Get Taken As A Hostage

Jisung had already resigned himself to a future of unhappiness.

Unless... He let his gaze wander over to Hyunjin. Unless they don't break off the engagement. They still have until next spring to decide. Now that they've overcome their initial grudges, there might be a chance for feelings to develop...

The thought of Hyunjin and Jisung marrying each other pained his heart, but he quickly squashed it. There was no denying his crush on the Prince, but he knew, deep down, that it wouldn't amount to anything. He was still trying to find his way back to his own time and falling in love would only lead to pain.

But if I can find a way to help two of my friends find happiness together...

It was decided: Felix was going to try and make Hyunjin and Jisung fall in love with each other.

.

The rest of the day passed uneventfully.

Felix quickly reaccustomed himself to his duties, following Hyunjin and Jisung around as he should while they walked. They roamed without a destination in mind, mostly to help Felix get back into shape. He would soon pick up where he left off with his training with Hyunjin but, for today, he enjoyed simply stretching his legs while conversing with the two Princes.

Jisung eventually left, and the pair retreated to the Rising Moon Palace to relax. Hyunjin began painting, while Felix picked up a book from the pile Seungmin had had delivered to his quarters earlier – he'd lost a lot of precious time because of his presentation, and he needed to start searching more earnestly for a way home. When evening came, Felix escorted Hyunjin to the dining hall, and he then found his way to the library. Once there, however, he found Seungmin already waiting for him, with books and scrolls scattered on the table already. So, without wasting any more time, Felix quickly settled next to him and got to work.

After an hour or so, Seungmin finally broke the comfortable silence.

"... Felix, would you mind answering a question for me?"

"What is it?"

"Well, your name is foreign, and your identification form was written in an unknown language, so I understand that you're from another country altogether?"

Felix nodded. "I was born in another country, but my parents were born in this one. I was actually given another name, to honor our ancestry."

"Really? What is it?"

"Well, I'm not going to lie, I'm not entirely fond of it, nor have I ever truly made use of it – but I was named Yongbok."

There was a faint 'THUD' that echoed a couple rows away from them, as though something had fallen from a shelf. Seungmin stiffened, accidentally spilling some ink just as he dipped his brush. Felix quickly helped him clean everything up, a tad confused by the unexpected reaction, but having definitely forgotten about the strange noise.

"Is something the matter? Is it really such a bad name?" he tried to joke.

Seungmin offered him a weak smile. "Ah, my apologies. It is a fine name indeed. I was merely surprised, for not many would dare name their child after a godly creature – most would fear divine retribution for such boldness."

"A godly creature...?"

"Dragons are supreme beasts meant to bring fortune, wisdom, and serenity – they embody justice and power, and the greatest Emperors and Kings alike have been adorned by this symbol." Seungmin then narrowed his eyes a bit. "I'd suggest not disclosing your name to any other, else someone ill-intentioned might try to make use of others' superstitions to control you."
