I'm not scared anymore

Chapter twenty nine: Help

        Just as Aether was about to hit her again, i decided to stop him. "Hey Aether, this wasn't the plan." I said grabbing his hand. "Fuck the plan. You saw what she did to Sunshine." Aether said angry. "I know and she is going to pay for that, but not like this Aether." I said.

        "What if it was Amelia? Wouldn't you do the same thing?" Aether asked. I was quiet for a while, because deep down i know that Aether is right. "Aether, he is right. I know that you hate her and you have every reason to do so, but this is not the way" Ifrit said.

          Aether sighed, but then Susan opened her mouth. "Ahh, you must be her mate. You should've heard how she begged and cried for your help when we slit her wrists open." Susan said, with a smirk on her face. "You bitch-" Aether said, wrenching his hand from my hold and threw another even harder punch on Susan's face.

         "I'm going to kill you" Aether yelled furiously, trying to attack Susan, but he was stopped by me and Ifrit. "Let me go!" Aether yelled. "I'm sorry Aether, but we can't let you kill her." Ifrit said. "Take her away." Ifrit said, pointing for Swiss and Sodo to take Susan away.

          While they were leading her out of the hallway, all she did was laugh. Her laugh was almost like she was crazy or a maniac. "That woman is crazy." I said quietly.

          We stayed in the hallway with Aether, trying to get him to calm down. That wasn't easy, actually it felt wrong to "defend" Susan when i was so mad at her too.

         After a while we headed after the others. They had taken Susan to the common room, where we would try to get her to tell us where Zephyr and Copia are. Me, Ifrit and Aether agreed that Aether would wait outside of the room. Aether sat down on the ground, leaning to the wall while me and Ifrit headed to the room.

          When we got in there were also a few sisters besides Susan. "Did you get anything out of her?" I asked. "No, all she is saying is some sort of texts from the bible." Sodo said. "Where is Zephyr?" Ifrit asked.

         "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your god who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you" Susan said, smiling teasingly. "Fuck you" Sodo said.

         "Hey, actually. I think i might know where they are." Ifrit said. "Where?" Omega asked. "Let's go. Cirrus, Cumulus, Sodo, Swiss and Mountain, would you stay here to watch for her?" Ifrit asked. "Yeah, go on already, we got this." Cirrus answered.

         Me, Ifrit, Alpha and Omega headed out of the room and asked Aether to follow us. "Did she tell you where they are?" Aether asked. "No, but i think i know." Ifrit answered. "My job in the beginning was to watch over Susan's prisoners which she kept in the basement." Ifrit said while we were walking.

        "I've never even been in the basement." I said. "You're lucky, that's not a place where you would like to visit." Ifrit said.

        Soon we arrived at the basement's door. Ifrit grabbed the door handle and started to push the door open. A cold air blew from the basement as the door opened. "Who exactly Sister keeps prisoned there?" Aether asked hesitantly. "Umm, i'm not sure anymore. When i was looking after them there was only Copia and Sunshine." Ifrit answered, stepping into the stairs of the basement.

         "It's so cold in here." I said. "Yeah, i know." Ifrit said, heading deeper into the basement. "Hello? Is anyone here?" Ifrit called. "I-Ifrit." a faint voice heard from the basement.

         "Zeph?" Omega called rushing past Ifrit. "Are you okay?" Omega asked, rushing towards the cell. When the rest of us also reached the cells, we saw Zephyr in one of the cells. He was sitting in the left corner of the cell, curled up in a ball trying to keep himself warm. "Just a little cold." Zephyr answered.
