Part 13 Thorns

Before I start this story I need to mention that I made a mistake in past chapters I made it to where she spoke a lot more and that's not true I have a almost 1 year old niece and ya she doesn't talk that much and when she walks it more of a waddle and stumble so in the next couple I will slow it down if that makes sense

Corey's POV
I bought devyn some flowers because why not I should get her flowers because I love her so I went to the store and got her some roses

I took them out of the paper cut the stems took off some leafs and put them in a vase with water

I picked the vase of the counter I was about to take a step when I felt a tug on my leg I looked down and saw SAV

"Oh hi sweetie" I smiled at her she smiled back and made grabby hands

"You wanna see the flowers?" I asked she nodded I set the flowers on the counter and picked her up

I sat her next the the flowers she leaned over and smelled them "mhm"she hummed she went to touch them

Then I remembered the thorns shit "wait s-"it was to late she let out a cry

I picked her up "I'm so sorry sweetie I forgot to tell you" she shook her head and started to lean on my shoulder crying I went to put her finger under some water

I put it under the water and she flinched her hand back "it's not going to hurt you I promise" she relaxed

There was a little cut on her finger "I have to clean it or it's going to get infected" she moved her head with confusion

I went to medicine cabinet and got the thingy to clean cuts I forgot what it's called and a bandaid

"Sav this is going to hurt but I will let you have some candy after ok?" her eyes looked watery but I took the chance

I cleaned it she stared to cry in pain it hurt me knowing I caused it but I quickly up the bandaid on it and pick her up

"You were so brave little golbach" I said she smiled I got a paper towel to clean her tears

Then I took her to the cabinet of candy we have "pick one" she grabbed a airhead

"Good choice" I smiled at her I grabbed the roses again and Sav walking holding my hand

I went to mine and dev's room "babyyy I have a surprise for you" she put her phone down

"Omg baby thank you"she saw the roses"and little miss Sav" she said picking Sav up from were she was standing

Sav just handed her the candy basically asking her to open it

When it was open she put some in her mouth and started to wiggly and let out a happy yell
