Overheated

Chapter 1 - Strong Comeback

It is constantly raining quite heavily, the silence of the small town is filled with suppressed hatred, lost hope, revenge and regret. People treat each other like shit and humanity overall has no meaning in this city. It is a free for all with everyone trying to survive, fighting in every sense. The town's name is Sudno and the story begins in a dimly lit apartment on the top floor of a barely standing building.

Fuse: Could you pass me that coke?

Sauer: There you go.

*cracks can open*

Fuse: Ahhhh, really needed that. Anyways what were you saying exactly?

Sauer: What?! You still weren't listening? Alright fine I'll say it again... I was just reminding myself that we are going to die in this shithole of a city with nothing achieved. I mean look at our situation. We are just trying to keep ourselves alive... No goals, long lost dreams and no bright future... We are just a couple of losers among other losers that are just going to die hopeless.

Fuse: Are you done there? Jeez you almost made me cry! You should be a poet Sauer, like that one Greek guy... Homer!

Sauer: Are you serious right now? I'm sitting here reminding you about our miserable lives and you joke about it?

Fuse: Oh come on... You don't have to get mad about it, I'm just trying to make you laugh!

Sauer: Alright alright... So what about that operation you were talking about?

Fuse: It's an operation that will give you your achievements that you keep blabbering about and make your miserable, well you'll still be miserable, but you might get some sort of satisfaction out of it...

Sauer: What's that supposed to mean? Anyway, tell me more about it.

Fuse: Alright but before I tell you about the operation, I have to let you know that we will need to return to our old lives... Are you really that committed?

Sauer: Pfff, does it pay well?

Fuse: Yes! About 500k ron!

Sauer: Ahhh, fine... At your service then...

Fuse: Alright then "Merchant of Misery" let's begin!

Fuse and Sauer are great friends and associates since way back. Fuse used to be one of the most skilled bounty hunters in the space, being deadly accurate and agile in order to claim bounties. For that reason, many big organizations would hire him in order to exterminate enemies or as the organizations would call them "obstacles". Every time ordered, Fuse delivered, and that's how he managed to make a living. But you see, Fuse could not have done it by himself. That's where his one and only associate appears, Sauer. Also known as the "Merchant of Misery", "Creator of Death" and also "Hephaestus", Sauer is one of the most skilled arms dealers as well as a highly experienced arms creator, having made weapons of unseen quality and efficiency. Fuse and Sauer combined, used to be a deadly duo, until a new organization appeared and wiped every other group and became the top dog in the city. This organization is known as Raven and its sole purpose is complete domination. It is ran by greedy dictators and doesn't value ordinary human lives. Raven also wiped out every bounty hunter known to man, well everyone except Fuse and Sauer, who managed to sneak their way out of the city of Doma and move to a nearby town. That's where they are today.
