Not Just A Lifetime

Chapter 1

"Sunny, come to my office." agad naman akong napalingon sa producer.

"Yes, Ma'am." wala na akong pinagpaliban pang oras at sumunod na papasok office n'ya.

"Have you seen the comments of your fans?" nang makaupo ay agad nitong tanong.

"Yes, Ma'am. I've read it all na po."

"Very well, then?"

"I'm still taking it into consideration po because history is not my thing."

"Sunny, there is always a room for a change. It might be your weakest point right now but who knows, this might be your greatest hit."

"Okay, Ma'am, I'll try to do an outline po."

"I know this one's hard for you so I'm giving you three days deadline to pass your outline" she calmly said.

My gosh! Alam naman n'ya palang mahirap para sa akin so bakit three days lang?

"Noted po, Ma'am." I said as I forced a smile.

I am trying so hard to think of something to draw and write but nothing is coming into my head, literally nothing.

Two days and two nights have passed but still I'm stuck and nothing's entering my head so I decided to watch historical drama and based the comic that I'm making to that drama.

"It's good Sunny, it is indeed a hit."

"Talaga po Ma'am?" gulat na tanong ko sa producer.

"Yes, it is a hit because it is already a hit!Do you think I haven't watch this drama? I've watched it for so many times so I know that it is that drama!"

"I'm sorry po ma'am."

"Sunny there is nothing wrong with basing some of plot of your comics to some previous works, but not this much!This is already plagiarism." tuloy - tuloy na saad ng producer while I just stayed quiet.

"Go back for now, maybe you were pressured by the time that I've given you. For now, I'm giving you a week to fiinish your story line."

"Thank you po Ma'am, sorry again."

I'm trying my best again to think of a story line but then again, nothing's coming inside my head. Bwisit na writer's black yan, ako pa ang tinamaan at ayaw pa akong lubayan. I should have listened to my history teacher before.Curse for not pushing me hard enough to study your subject harder.

A week have passed and I am here at the producer's office again. Ang lugar na dating nagbibigay sa akin ng galak ay s'ya ngayong nagbibigay sa akin ng kilabot at kaba.

"Sunny, I know you're trying so hard but in this story line, if they we're really in ancient times, both of your lead characters have lost their heads without even finishing your episode 4."

"I'm sorry po Ma'am. I wasn't aware of the ancient rules and policy po."

"Sunny, I think you need to take a break for a while. I know you're experiencing writer's block right now kasi sino namang hindi makaka-experience n'yan kung pinagawa sa'yo ang kahinaan mo so conquer it. Try to read some history books or listen to it. Maybe try to watch historical documentaries, I don't know which ever makes you pass your writer's block."
