Unslicked Hair?

Hogwarts Year: Three

Harry jumped off the train of Hogwarts, still drained from the dementor attack that had happened only a bit ago. Hermione and Ron followed off, both still concerned, but content with knowing Harry was okay. Ron looked around, before frowning.

"So many people look different," he noted aloud, gesturing toward everyone. It was true many people had grown taller and their appearances had changed. He looked at Hermione. "Why do you think that is?"

Hermione rolled her eyes. "Ronald, are you that stupid? Why do you think?"

Ron hesitated, before it clicked. "Oh, did they go through—"

"Yes," Harry said, cutting him off, not very comfortable with the current conversation. Ron nodded limply and continued looking around like nothing happened. Hermione started walking toward the castle and the two boys followed.

As Harry walked a particular face caught his eye. The pale face with gray eyes. Harry knew it was familiar, but his jaw dropped at what he saw. The face of the person was slightly more mature, and the specific icy hair of this person was unslicked, not very neat, too. This person was also taller than he remembered, slightly. Harry's jaw was slack, his face was red at the sight of this person.

How had Draco Malfoy gone from...well...Malfoy, to that?

Harry was very much staring at Draco, but he was too busy admiring him. Ron had noticed Harry wasn't walking and turned around. "Harry, come on, we're going into—"

"I'm gay," Harry declared, not moving his eyes away from Draco. Somehow, the taller boy hadn't noticed the staring yet, and Harry was completely fine with that. The main thing Harry admired was the unslicked Harry. It was...different. But oh, Harry loved it so much. He wanted to run his finger through that Harry, mess with it, he wanted to—

"Oh," Ron said, after a moment of Harry's reply, stopping Harry's many thoughts. Hermione had heard the conversation and she turned around with a confused look on her face.

"Harry, why are you saying that just now?" Hermione asked, stepping toward Harry. Then she followed his gaze and saw Draco, then looked at Harry again, and it clicked.

Hermione turned to Ron. "Ron, he's admiring Malfoy," Hermione whispered to Ron, words barely audible. Ron's jaw went slack too and he looked at Harry. Then he looked at Malfoy, and frowned, tilting his head.

"Mate, he's not that good loo—"

"Shut up," Harry said simply, still staring at Draco. Ron rolled his eyes and grabbed Harry by his shoulders, turning him around. Harry tried to turn back, but Ron turned him again.

"M-A-T-E. You can admire him later, okay? We need to go to dinner." But Ron can't help but grin at what's happening. Harry sighed and nodded sadly, looking one last time at Draco.

But this time, Draco was looking back. The older boy smirk and admired the shorter boy, before winking at him and then looking away. Instantly, Harry's face heated up and he resembled a strawberry. Hermione's eyes were bulging out of her head and Ron was smirking, seeing the situation between the two "enemies."

"Looks like you two aren't enemies anymore," Ron said slyly, smirking at Harry. Harry just blushed and started speed walking toward the castle, leaving a smirking Ron and dumbfounded Hermione behind.
