As soon as we were dressed in our new clothes, we walked back to where both Alesea and Raul were waiting for us near each other, silently discussing some things. They jumped apart when they heard us and looked guilty about something, and I had a feeling that I wasn't going to like it.

"What was that for?" I asked while I looked at them through narrowed eyes. I scowled and narrowed my eyes further while I studied them. "What are you two talking about so close to each other?"

"It's nothing to worry about right now, Your Highness," Raul said while he cleared his throat before he bowed. "My apologies. I shouldn't have been as close to her as I was."

I set my jaw but didn't say a word while I narrowed my eyes further.

Delilah looked at me and then looked at the pair that were staring at us, silently.

Finally, she blinked before she cleared her throat and stood taller. "I don't think that you're able to bow at us like that or call us "Your Highness" anymore, Raul," she said softly. "I don't think it'll be safe, especially if we have to hide our true selves."

Raul and Alesea nodded and stayed silent. He looked at her and seemed to tell her to say something, but she rolled her eyes and made a motion for him to say something instead of her.

I bit back an annoyed sigh and shook my head. "Can someone please say something?" I asked, letting them hear the dissatisfaction in my voice. "I do not know what is going on, and I want to know why you two were having a conversation so close together."

"We will tell you when it's safe," Raul said and dipped his head while Alesea shot him an annoyed look. He didn't look at her, but I could tell that they were still nervous. "Come, we need to get going before they track us."

I pressed my lips into a thin line and slowly nodded. I didn't say a word, but I could feel this jealousy that I didn't understand and didn't like.

My little sister nodded. "Where are we going to go?" she asked. "And are we going to be safe?" She cocked her head and looked at them with wide eyes, and I could tell that she was nervous and excited about this new life and adventure we were about to take on.

"We will protect you both," Raul said while he looked between us. He cleared his throat and shifted away from Aleasa some more, and I couldn't help but grit my teeth together and let out a small hiss.

Delilah nudged me, and I looked at her. She narrowed her eyes and silently told me to 'cool it,' and I couldn't help but roll my eyes and scowl. "I am sorry about my brother," she said and looked at them. "I don't know why he is acting like this. He's a lot kinder than what he is showing you."

Raul slowly nodded and offered my sister a hesitant smile. "It is ok," he said softly. "I... know why he is acting like that; we both do." He looked at Aleasa, and I couldn't help but grit my teeth to stop myself from growling.

"Then what is it?" she asked. "What is the reason that h-"

"We should discuss that after we get to the safe space," Aleasa said, interrupting her. She cleared her throat before she bowed slightly as if she was nervous about interrupting her and silently apologized. "Then we can talk about everything, I promise."

Delilah nodded and looked nonchalant about being interrupted, not caring at all. She shrugged and grabbed my hand tighter. "Then can we get going?" she asked. "Aren't we still being looked for?"

"We are," Raul said and nodded. He looked this way and that as if there was something going on that we didn't see. His eyes were slightly wide while he looked at me, and he bowed his head. "Come on. We have horses that will take us there."
