Will Never Be Perfect Enough

Author's note: I am writing this after my mom hurt my feelings...

I'm sorry

I am not the daughter you expected.

Or the daughter you wanted 

I am overweight.

I know

Need to diet, I've been trying.

I want a snack here and there.

But that seems to be disappointing.

I understand I have unhealthy habits.

You've been trying to eat better.

Just because you are down a healthier path.

That doesn't mean you can shame me for being too fat.

I try to lose weight again and again.

But I managed to gain a few pounds instead.

Sorry if my health is not good enough for you.

Sorry if I'm not skinny enough for you.

Sorry if I'm not trying as hard as I can for you.

Clearly, I will never be enough,

I will never be perfect enough for you.
