A Problem To Go Unsolved

Hope hummed. "Hey Josie" Jade waved at the girl, her cheeks flustered. Hope had caught on to this, watching as Jo had slowly waved back. She furrowed her brows, something in her stomach didnt feel right. "Whos that?" She asked, pointing to the dark blonde haired girl.

"Thats Jade—"

"She has a crush on my dear sister, its cute" Lizzie shrugged, smirking. "A crush?" Hope questioned, looking for the girl who was no longer there.

"Jealous?" Theo smirked. "No" Hope shrugged, walking away from the scene. Lizzie ran after her like a lost puppy. "Mikaelson, wait!" She called. The blonde grabbed the auburnettes arm only to be punched across the face. Hope gasped. "Im so sorry!" She apologized, holding the blondes arm. "Damn" Lizzie groaned, holding her cheek in pain. "I'm really sorry, I didnt mean to. You just startled me."

"That hurt" She hissed, opening her eyes to find her and Hopes faces a little too close. She glanced around, backing away a bit. "Im sorry, Liz" She sighed, backing away too.

"Its fine" She grumbled. "Anyway, we should talk."

"About?"

"The other night, of course. Although amazing. I dont think we'd be a perfect fit for eachother" She shrugged, trying to wave off her feelings for the auburnette. "Oh? I was thinking the same thing I guess?" The auburnette was confused, she hadn't thought about that night with everything going on. She hadn't even considered getting with the blonde. After all she still had feelings for Eth—there he was. He crossed the corner, Hopes eyes following in pursuit. "Thats it?" The blonde furrowed her brows.

"Hey, I got to go" She waved the blonde off, going after the boy of her dreams. Or atleast the boy she was trying to convince was the boy of her dreams in order to avoid her feelings for someone else.

"Mikaelson, I wasnt done!" Lizzie yelled but Hope was already gone.

Lizzie blinked, did it really mean so little to the girl? Was she not going to fight for their love? She watched as the auburnette went up to that pathetic thing of a man. Her face lit up as her mouth moved to make conversation between them. Lizzie gagged at the sight. Ew.

"Pathetic" She murmured, watching the two walk off together. "Disgusting, did she really just forget about everything he put her through?" She added, continuing to talk to herself. Theres no way Lizzie would let her go back to that boy, no way in hell. Being a Vampire must have messed with the Mikaelsons brain, maybe shes brainwashed. Or maybe her switch had been flipped. That would explain so much.

"Josie !" She chased after her sister, pulling her away from entering her class. "Yes Lizzie?"

"I think Hope flipped her switch"

"Why do you say that?" The brunette asked "She seemed relatively normal for a girl who just died"

"She was talking to that mutt, Ethan"

"What?!" Josie gasped, her face scrunched up in disgust. "That asshole? What is she talking to him for. He doesnt deserve her. Something has to be wrong—theres just no way."

"Exactly."

"Im glad Hopes okay" Liam sighed, taking a seat next to Theo. "Me too" He smiled, he was happy as long as Liam was.

"Are you down for milkshakes after this?" Theo asked, quirking a brow at his bestfriend. "You mean..skipping the rest of the day?" Liam raised his brows at the devious plan. "Yeah.."

"Hell yeah ! I'd love to" Liam cheered.

"This way, through the back. My father keeps cameras everywhere" Theo pointed out. Liam knew it was wrong to feel sad when Theo mentioned his father, he knew he shouldnt have. But he really missed his dad, it hurt moving on every day as if he didnt just die a few weeks ago, as if he wasnt just taken away from him. He held up a smile, trying not to let Theo see the change in his mood. But it was as if the boy could read him. When he glanced back, seeing Liams face he paused. "I'm sorry" Theo sighed, noticing the change in the boy's demeanor.

"No, its nothing." Liam brightened his smile, not wanting Theo to feel guilty for only being himself. "I know it still hurts. I wouldnt expect it not to." Theo sighed, taking a seat on the ground. Liam followed to sit next to him. "That was your dad, Li. And its okay to grieve him."

"I dont want you walking on egg shells around me because im too sensitive" The boy pushed his hair back, a single tear falling from his eye. He still remembered it happening like it was just yesterday. The ache in his heart was still there. He lost his dad and not only that but his sister too. He watched them both die without being able to save neither. The only difference is that Hope came back. But she isnt the same anymore, which Liam expected no different. She died and she is mourning their father just as he was.

"Li..dont say that. You're not being sensitive. Hes family, you've known him your whole life. If you were to not be upset I'd be extremely worried."

"I just wish I was more like my sister sometimes. Nothing seems to rock her the way things do me. I'm just so different from the rest of my family. Sometimes I dont even feel like I was meant to be a Mikaelson"

"Li, I dont want you to be anyone else. I want you to be you. And only you. You dont need to be your sister to fit in. Shes boring anyways" Theo shrugged. "You're her little brother, her rock. You're so strong Li you dont even know it. The way you can share your emotions is incredible. You have growth that most your family havent even been able to reach."

"Feelings make you strong" He added, wiping away the younger boys tears. "No, they make me weak."

"No, feelings give you something to fight for. A reason to have purpose. Why do you think Batman is so lame? He has nothing to fight for. Hes lonely its honestly depressing"

Theo stood up, holding his hand out. "Come on, lets go get that milkshake."

The younger boy sniffed, wiping his eyes away before standing up with the help of his bestfriend. "I really appreciate you, Theo."

"I know" He shrugged, acting like that comment didnt effect him more than it really did.
