Valentine's Day/Valentina's birthday also happens to be the day that she was kidnapped when she was seven. Valentina doesn't celebrate her birthday anymore. After a fun day of seeing her friends, presents, and cake, a young Valentina wished that she and her family could live in a castle one day, and just later that day, she was taken to the new place she'd call home for the next four years.
Valentina hated birthday cake, parties, streamers, the song, anything that had to do with birthdays, Valentina wanted nothing to do with it. All it was was a reminder of the fact that she had her childhood taken from her.
Valentina had gotten a card from Lance this morning for Valentine's Day, but nothing for her birthday. In all fairness, she didn't tell him her birthday was today.
Valentina really didn't want to come into work today on the off chance that there would be an abduction case, but she was going to put on a brave face and ignore all of her emotions. As Valentina walked into the BAU, she had come across a bouquet of tulips and daisies on her desk. She was slightly confused since she and Lance had already given each other gifts, so she didn't know why he had left her flowers on her desk.
Valentina put her stuff down on her chair before looking in the arrangement of flowers to find a label with a note on it, which she read out loud, "60% of you is water and the other 40% is made up of bad, yet funny jokes, love for cats, charm, and beauty. Vince Lombardi said that 'perfection is not attainable', but you've proven him wrong.' Who the hell did Lance pay to write this?"
