The Black Heart Society is not a familiar name to most. To most, they would have never have heard of it. Ellen Lynch was no exception to the rules. In fact, she hardly ever was. So when the mayor showed up at the small Starbrooks she was working at and told her everything over a cup of a grande latte, quite frankly, she was shell shocked. A letter had arrived by post a few weeks ago. She hadn't bothered paying attention then, she certainly wasn't going to start now. At least, that's what she thought. It turns out, you can't really ignore an invitation. Especially one from the mayor, Mr. Lawton Marcus Phillip Brookhaven, himself.
