[Operation: Assassination]

CHAPTER I: A Spy In Disguise

Rei ran, he hadn't run so far in ages after all he had been on the track team in the 6th grade and was now willing to run. 

"HALT! STOP RIGHT THERE!" Someone yelled as police sirens could be heard around him.                "I need back up.." He'd whisper into the earpiece as police cars surrounded him gradually. This can't be the end for this young Assassin though, a helicopter appeared over head before gunshots could be heard before a red haired woman emerged holding two large guns shooting in a crazed manner before inviting Rei on board the helicopter. "Now, what the hell was that Rei!?" She'd yell. A badge flapped around reading 'Himeko Urumi'.

"I'm sorry Ms. Urumi.." He'd say apologetically. His tone was breathy and sounded oddly tired.

The woman sighed, guiding the Helicopter back to HQ before glancing back at Rei. "What you did back there was stupid, just so you know.." Himeko said, getting out before walking to the roof top exit. Rei sighed, taking the other exit before yelping in pain, a bullet had entered his ankle but he was fine with it oddly. He sighed before limping to the medical room.

"REI!?" The young man yelled, he had blonde hair with black roots, his eyes were a crimson-red. Rei fell to the floor, his white hair fluttered behind him as he collapsed. He went unconscious. Two days later he had woken up, his torso bandaged and his ankle... FINE?!?! He sighed, slipping on his hoodie before he gasped in a pained manner before he groaned the man from earlier rushing to his aid and laying him down on the bed before hooking him up to the monitor, his heart beat steadily.

                                                    -Rei?

                                                     -What?      

                                                     -Shut up, or shut down..

                                                     -What!?

                                                       -You heard me.

                                                           -I-I didn't.

                                                            -Don't repeat history, you know what happened last time.

                                                             -But I loved him by accident...

                                                                  -Doesn't change the fact that YOU killed him.

                                                                       -But I-

Rei woke up from his daze.. The fluorescent lighting blinding him as the young doctor 'Akiyo' tended to his wound. "Are you okay?" Akiyo asked, his red eyes shone in the lighting.                         His eyes almost collapsed from the pain before Akiyo spoke again, his tone gentle and subtly tense. "Does it still hurt? Or are you still aching?" He went silent, waiting for Rei's response, it was silent in the room..

"Yeah."

"You're stupid."

"I know."

"Don't do shit like this again, I'm not gonna save you next time you almost kill yourself during a mission."
