No. This is not about them. As much as I want to help them, I need to help myself. My friends. My family. They are waiting for me.

As if reading my mind, Atlas started unlocking some of the cells. My mouth dropped open at the sight as he woke them up, whispering to them.

"Now, what is this man doing!?" I hissed, my eyes darting back and forth between all the open cells. Nyx stepped forward, patting me on the back.

"Helping."

"Actually, if you think about it-" Atlas hooked the keys back onto his belt. "Just us four are not going to make it by defeating a herd of guards. So why not make an army?" He opened his arms, revealing the number of twins gathered around us.

I'm never going to admit this to his face, but I should have listened to his plan because, obviously, what he is doing is fantastic. I am not saying that Sevyn's and I's plan isn't good, but this... I would have never expected this.

Maybe it was because I didn't want to endanger anybody if things went wrong, but they deserve to be free, too. The days that I have spent with some of them, they have turned, meaning that yes, they are still evil but not as evil as when they first started. They do not want to create chaos. They want to live their life freely like everyone else. Especially the twins that have been wronged for being evil like Sevyn and them.

After everyone was in on the plan, we continued down the hallway. So far, there weren't any guards, which was a bit suspicious, as ever since I came back in as Fay, guards have been all over the place.

"Guys.." I whispered. They continued walking. "Guys!"

"Can you ever shut-" Nyx started, but then there was blood coming out of her mouth. Blood. I gasped, clamping a hand over my mouth as I watched her body collapse to the ground. The arrow sticking out of her body.  Everyone froze where they were, their heads turning to either side, trying to figure out where the arrow came from.

A guard stepped out, reloading his crossbow as he aimed it again. Another guard came from the other side with his crossbow aimed. One by one, guards circled us with crossbows and spears.

No. Please no. We're so close. The door is right there at the end of the hall. Blocked by guards now, of course, but with all of us, we can get past them. Right? I was wrong. So wrong. One by one, twins started getting shot down by arrows and stabbed by spears—a constant battle between the twins and the guards. An arrow flew directly at me, but Atlas shoved me hard onto the ground, his body protecting me as the arrow only sliced the side of his cheek as we fell.

"Why are you just standing there!? Get moving!" Atlas hissed, pulling me up onto my feet and leading me down another hallway as the sound of battle continued. Sevyn follows close behind, as well as a couple of twins.

"Nyx.. Nyx is.." I choked out. Atlas tightened his grip on my wrist, not even glancing back toward the chaos.

"We knew what we were getting ourselves into if things went south. Just keep moving." His voice was stern, but there was a hint of sadness in them. Nyx and Atlas have known each other for so long. It was hard seeing him try acting so tough when inside; he was breaking down.

"Where are we going? That was our only exit." I changed the topic as I realized we were going in another direction.

"Did you really think that was our only exit? No. There's the back door, too." Atlas looked back at me with a smirk before tugging me to go faster.

A few guards stepped out from corners and pointed their weapons at us. We abruptly stopped, our hands rising to our faces.

"Remember your training," Sevyn whispered from behind me.
