I'm not scared anymore

Chapter twenty two: RUN

Sodo's pov:

Me and Swiss were probably the first ones leaving the church. At first we headed to the small town, close to the church. We had no idea where we could go.

       "What if we go to a hotel?" Swiss asked. "They would find us there, dumbass." I said. "Not necessarily." Swiss said. "Yeah, but are you ready to take the risk? With these masks we are pretty easy to notice and you heard what the Sister had told Copia, i am not going back to hell or even worse, i'm not ready to die." I said. "You're right" Swiss sighed.

        We arrived to the town. We tried our best not to attract any attention. "I'm tired, can we like sit for a while" Swiss asked. "No." I answered. "Then will you carry me when my legs are too sore to even walk?" Swiss continued. "No, stop whining." I said.

        We headed to the small park where Swiss could sit for a while. "Ughhh, my legs." Swiss whined as he sat down. "We can't stay here for long, we need to find a place for the night." I said. "I could sleep right here" Swiss answered. "We are not sleeping outside" I said.

        "You two are new here" A female voice said from the bench next to us. I looked where the voice came from, seeing a girl sitting on a bench next to us. "Yeah, we're not around here" I answered. "I know, i know like every single person in this town, but i have never seen you two." She says.

        "May i ask why would you sleep outside?" She continued. "Well it's a long story, but at the moment we don't have a place to stay." I answered.  "Oh, why is that?" She asked. "Well, like i said it's a long story." I said. "You can stay with me and my roommate if you want to." She said. "Really?" I asked. "Yes of course. It's almost winter, i can't let you just sleep outside." She said. "Are you serious?" I asked. "Yeah, but just only if you promise that you are not serial killers. What are your names?" She said. "I'm Sodo and the one whining is Swiss." I said. "Oh, you have such a rare names, i love them. I'm Sofia" She said. "Nice to meet you" I said. We chatted her with a while, she seemed really nice.

          "Let's get going." She said. "Don't you have to ask your roommate if we can come?" Swiss asked. "No, Ava loves visitors especially when the visitors are such a lovely guys as you two" She said.

          We all got up from the bench and headed out of the park. "When we get there, watch your mouth, we have to behave." Swiss whispered to me. "I know. So no flirting, no sexual jokes. This is going to be hard" I answered.

Cirrus's pov:

"Come on Lulu we have to go" i rushed Cumulus. "Yeah, let me just grab a few more things." She said. "Where will we go?" I asked. "I don't know, but we have to get as far from the church as we can." She said. "What if we call a taxi? Like we walk for a while so we get a little further from the church and then call the taxi." She suggested. "We could try that." I said.

       We left Cumulus's room and headed to the hallways. "Can we just go without Sunshine?" Cumulus asked. "I hate to say this, but we don't have a choice." I answered. "I'm gonna hate myself over this" Cumulus says. "Me too Lulu, me too"I said.

        We sneaked out of the church, the chill autumn air hitting our faces as we opened the door. We hurried out of the church's yard, into the woods.

         We wandered through the forest until we were far enough so we could call us a taxi. "Okay so, we call a taxi and we go to the city and then we book a hotel, right?" I said. "Yeah." She answered. "Where do you think everyone else will go?" I wondered. "Well Swiss and Sodo probably just flirt their way in with some girl. Others i don't know. I'm actually a little worried about Amelia. She wasn't looking that good back at the practice room" Cumulus said. "Yeah, but i'm sure Rain will keep her safe." I answered.

         We finally got to the road, where i called us a taxi. When the taxi came, we headed to the bigger city where we had visited earlier.

        The drive to the city was quiet, only the soft voice of the radio playing in the car. Both of us were worried and confused about the whole situation. We never would've guessed that something like this could even happen.

         When we were finally there, we paid the taxi and headed to the hotel. "What names should we use, Cirrus and Cumulus are kinda obvious?" Cumulus asked. "Well if we just pick more human names and go with those?" I suggested. "Yeah, i can be Mad" Cumulus said. "That sounds great, i'll be Laura" I said.

          We booked ourselves a room for a few nights and headed into the room. Both of us laid down on our bed. "I hope everyone are okay." Cumulus sighed. "Yeah, me too" I said. "Wait, we can text them, right?" I got an idea. "I mean, yeah if they have their phones with them." Cumulus said.

        I grabbed my phone from my pocket and started to create a group chat. "Add everyone from the band, except for Copia... And Sunshine." Cumulus sighed. "She is going to be okay. Copia promised to look after her." I said, finishing the groupchat.

Cirrus: Hey Cirrus and Cumulus here. Have all of you gotten away from the church? Are all of you okay?
Rain: Me and Amelia found a place to spend a few nights.
Cirrus: How Amelia is doing?
Rain:  She is still sick, but hopefully she is getting better.
Swiss: Me and Sodo found a place to stay+we have beautiful company
Aether: Why am i not surprised..
Cirrus:  Aether, did you and Mountain find a safe place to stay?
Aether: Well, we found a place, not calling it safe though. We rest here for a while and then we will continue looking for a place to stay.
Cirrus: Okay.. Everyone please stay safe, everything will be okay..eventually.

"Such a relief to hear that everyone are doing okay, or at least as well as they can do in this situation." I said, placing my phone down. "Everything will be alright, right?" I asked Cumulus. "I hope so." She answered.

        "What if things are not going to be okay?" I think out loud. "What if things don't go back like they were, what if we can never go back home, what if we never see Copia and Sunshine again." I worried.

         I'm normally not like this, i can usually keep my emotions in check, but right now i was just so overwhelmed and scared about the situation. I don't cry that often, not in front of others, but now i just couldn't help it. My eyes filled with tears, i tried to look to the roof and force the tears away, but it was no use.

         "I'm scared Lulu. I'm scared that something bad will happen. I know i should stay strong, but i just- I'm just scared." I stutter. Cumulus placed her hand on my chin, turning my head to her.

         "Oh Cir. You are always so strong, it's okay to not to be strong and not be okay sometimes. I know that you are scared and i am too and that is okay." Cumulus says. "You're gonna make me cry" I sobbed. "That is okay too" Cumulus said with a calm voice. Tears streamed down my cheeks as i looked at Cumulus, her beautiful face, her calm and loving expression. I don't understand how she can be so calm.

        I buried my face on her shoulder. She wrapped her arms around me, pulling me into her embrace. I cried against her shoulder, it has been so long since i have been crying in front of someone, but with Cumulus, i didn't feel embarrassed, quite the opposite, i felt accepted and safe. I just hope that everything is going to be okay.
