KBS baseball commentator Park Yong-taek has revealed the biggest opponent for the Korean baseball team at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games.

On the afternoon of the 1st, the KBS 'Hangzhou Asian Games' commentators' meeting was broadcast live online. Park Chan-ho, Park Yong-taek, Lee Young-pyo, Kim Yeon-kyung, Choi Na-yeon, and Yang Dong-geun attended the event and expressed their feelings about serving as commentators for the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games.

"Baseball was first adopted as an official sport at the Asian Games in 1994, and Japan won the (inaugural) championship," said Park Yong-taek, a baseball commentator, when asked about the sport's biggest rival, "but Korea has won five gold medals in the seven Asian Games."

"Japan is a social baseball team, an unemployment team, almost professional, but they're not good at hitting," he said, adding that Taiwan has eight American minor league players. "These are the guys who won the youth world championship in 2019 in Gijang, Busan," he said. "They have a good team, so I think Taiwan is their biggest opponent."

Meanwhile, the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games will be held from Sept. 23 to Oct. 8 in Hangzhou, China, with 45 nations competing in 40 sports.
