Ankush's eyes softened as he looked at her, his lips curving into a genuine smile. "Yeah, it was quite a day."
The genuine camaraderie between them was palpable, and the audience couldn't help but feel the connection they shared. Priya's confidence and Ankush's understated presence made for a captivating contrast.
As the press conference concluded, Priya and Ankush stepped down from the stage, the media representatives buzzing with excitement. Amidst the flurry of activity, Priya found herself standing next to Ankush.
"That rain scene was really something, huh?" she said, a playful twinkle in her eyes.
Ankush nodded, a soft smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, it was unexpected."
Priya chuckled. "Well, unexpected things often turn out to be the most memorable."
Ankush's gaze held hers for a moment, a warmth in his eyes that spoke volumes. "You're right."
And in that fleeting exchange, amidst the flash of cameras and the hum of voices, Priya felt a connection that went beyond the spotlight. It was a reminder that even in the world of glamour and fame, genuine moments of connection could be found, creating a story that was as heart-warming as the one they were about to present on screen.
The trailer launch had been a grand success, and as the excitement settled, Priya and Ankush found themselves headed to a nearby restaurant for a quiet dinner. Dressed in their finest, they were a stark contrast to the glitzy event they had just attended.
As they settled into a cozy corner of the restaurant, their casual conversation began to flow. It was one of those moments when the line between friendship and something more blurred just a tad.
"You know," Priya began with a playful twinkle in her eyes, "I used to read articles and watch interviews of you back when I was just starting out. Reporters always complained about how you gave the shortest answers. They said it was like pulling teeth to get anything substantial from you."
Ankush little shocked at the revelation, "That's something I didn't know. You knew me?!!"
"How can I not! You are much more famous than you think of yourself. How can I not know about you. In fact you were my celebrity cr . . . ."
"Celebrity what????" he asked with a quirky smile
"Nothing!!!" she tried to shied away
"Nahi nahi batao batao!!" he teased
"Accha! Beta yaha to bahut bol raha hai tu! What happened in front of media?" she revert back
Ankush laughed, shaking his head. "Guilty as charged. I've always been a man of few words, especially with the media. I figure actions speak louder than words."
Priya, in the midst of laughter, accidentally let slip, "Maybe that's why your girlfriend ran away. Tu action hi karte reh gaya wo samjh hi nahi payi!!"
Her eyes widened in horror as soon as the words left her mouth. She had intended to joke about something entirely different, but her tongue had betrayed her in that split second.
Ankush's expression changed, but instead of getting angry or upset, he simply looked thoughtful. "Funny you should say that, she ran away with one of my best friend" he replied, his tone surprisingly calm.
Priya felt a pang of guilt. "I... I didn't mean it that way. I just meant...", feeling that she had stepped into a sensitive area, decided to tread carefully. "I'm sorry if that comment upset you. It was just a stupid joke."
Ankush finally looked at her, a faint smile on his lips. "It's fine! It's in the past now. We all have our share of heartbreaks,"
"You know, I even know about all the fun you have with your best friend, Sharan." she tried to divert the topic
