Will Celine's Heart Go On

"What? An arranged marriage??!"

"Yes, Celine. Look, you're 28. What are you waiting for?"

"I'm waiting for no one Dad. But,..."

"I've arranged everything. You just come, and sit, and got a husband, and live like a normal person."

A huge sigh from a 28-year-old civil lawyer, Celine, who still didn't wanna get married, 'just because everybody does'. For her, true love will come at the right time and of course, with the right person.

So, it's a bit complicated to align a true love and an arranged marriage.

"He will come later today."

"Who dad?"

"Your future husband."

Oh. It's like lightning struck through Celine's head. And heart, of course.

"Hmmm... Maybe I should open my heart and reconsider. Trying to connect later so, maybe..."

A huge sigh...

"Maybe this is a true love....?"

This monologue keeps playing in Celine's head.

A white sedan parked right in front of Celine's house. It's not a high-end car or a new model. Just a simple sedan that's been used for five years, or less, or more?...

"Hmmmm..."

It's Celine of course. Not because of the car, but because of the whole situation.

A young man with blonde hair came out of the car, smiling. Or maybe a forced smile. Or maybe it's the way Celine interprets it.

"Come, don't be shy. It's your second home after all." Celine's dad, Mr. Jonas says those creepy words out loud to the blonde man.

"Hi, I'm Finn. Finneas Williams. Nice to meet you."

Celine's monologue starts first, "Oh, a hand, a man's hand. Please I just wanna jump into a hole right now."

"Oh, hi. I'm Celine Jonas. Nic, nice to mee, meet you too."

"Oh God, Celine. You're not dumb." It's a Celine monologue, again.

After a short, it's not short. After 43 minutes and five seconds of chatting, Mr Jonas asked both Celine and Finn to go for a drive. To know each other's hearts, maybe?

As in the car...

"Would you like to hear some music, young lady?"

"Oh, I'm not quite young. But, yeah I would love some music." Celine's heartbeat decreases as Finn breaks the ice between them.

Hearing Olivia Rodrigo's 'seeing you tonight, it's a bad idea right?', Celine comes up with a good idea she saw online.

"Whyn't we both ask five questions to each other?..

"Yeah, a pretty good idea for a date," Finn said with a full smile.

And not gonna lie, Celine's heart melts, maybe an inch, or a centimeter I guess?

"I go first, or..?"

"Yeah, ladies first." Answer's Finn.

Another inch melts.

"Okay. First question. What did you do for a living? And let me guess and you answer it too simultaneously."

"Okay, three.. two.. one.."

"Photography!"

Both chuckles.

"Yeah, I'm a photographer. Not working under a company. I'm freelancing." Said Finn.
