33. Something About Beck

Start from the beginning

"Thanks..." She said, exiting the car and standing beside him. He wrapped his arm around Veronica's waist and she let him.

Beck guided her to the front steps of his house and unlocked the door using a key-code, then opened it for her.

The moment Veronica walked inside she was greeted with luxurious decor. Her mouth opened slightly in shock.

Beck showed Veronica around, then led her upstairs.

She removed her jacket and tossed it aside, looking back up at Beck who smiled. But this time the smile wasn't smug, it was genuine and almost wary.

She walked closer to him, his hands gently grasped her shoulders and squeezed them. Beck looked down at her with that same sincere smile, "I'm really glad you came..."

Veronica sighed softly and averted her eyes, "Me too..."

Beck's eyes widened slightly, along with his smile. He leaned down and kissed her on the forehead.

His lips were soft and gentle, but it felt so similar to someone else's kiss... Even down to the shape of his lips...

Veronica shuttered slightly then leaned forward and pressed her head against his chest, his arms pulled her closer.

She could feel herself relax in his arms, she'd been tense for so long around everyone.

His hands made his way down to her thighs, lifting her up easily and carrying her over to his bed.

Beck sat down on the edge of his king size bed, the sheets were dark red satin and the comforter was a matching shade of velvet. There was a canopy on the posts, it didn't feel real. It was like something out of a movie.

Their eyes locked, "We don't have to do anything, Veronica... I just want to spend time with you..." Beck said, softly.

Veronica looked around the large bedroom, then back at Beck and she smiled shyly. "I want to..." She replied, quietly.

Beck's eyes widened in surprise, "You do?" He asked, his hand gently caressing her cheek.

She nodded and kissed him, "I really like you..."

-

Veronica rolled over in bed and stretched, her eyes meeting a pair of blue ones. He grinned, this time it was a shit-eating one.

Beck pulled her in and kissed her on the forehead, "I had a great time last night..."

Veronica smiled, "Me too..."

Beck sat up and stretched, pulling Veronica closer to him. "I'll go get your cash."

With that, Beck stood up and walked over to his dresser. Veronica watched as he walked away with a grin.

He sensed her eyes, "You like what you see?" He grabbed his wallet and sorted out dollar bills.

Veronica giggled softly to herself and looked away, flushed. Beck walked back up to her and handed her a giant wad of cash, "That's all yours, babe."

Veronica smiled widely as she counted up the money, it was the most she'd ever had. She hugged him tightly, "Thank you so much..."

"Can I see you again?" Beck asked, planting a kiss on Veronica's shoulder. "Of course," She replied.

"How about I pick you up tonight? I'll take you out to dinner." He grinned, nuzzling his face between Veronica's breasts. She gently stroked his hair, "See you then..."

He pulled away and kissed her once more. Veronica got up and put on her clothes from the night before, Beck got dressed as well and called her a cab.

The two kissed each other goodbye and Veronica headed to work.

-

The work day went by excruciatingly slowly. Any break she got was flooded by her work friends begging for details from her and Beck's hookup. To which she denied giving information about.

Veronica's outfit for the day was some weird skimpy Catwoman-looking outfit. She hated her boss for the outfits he made them all wear, it was the worst.

Her usual customers came around, begging for her to pop a tittie, they were escorted out. Yet, not banned.

She hated how sexual harassment was allowed, but she didn't have the time to find a different job. Besides, she enjoyed whenever Beck would come to visit.

-

Soon enough the end of her shift arrived, so she got changed and began to walk home.

The cold wind hit her in the face, but she didn't mind. Summer was agonizing, besides, rain was fucking awesome.

The only sound she heard for a while were her footsteps, but a few times she swore she heard two others following behind her.

Repeatedly she would turn to look, but there was nothing. She sighed to herself and shook off the god awful feeling she had.

She entered the apartment building and took the stairs up to her apartment.

She unlocked the door and shut it behind her, kicking off her shoes. She removed her t-shirt and jeans, then went to take a shower.

After she was done, she put on her best dress. It was red, the style reminded her of one she wore to a party many years ago... She put on a pair of high-heels, then did her makeup as fancy as possible.

She put on sparkly red eyeshadow, black cat-eyeliner and dark red lipstick.

She brushed through her dark box dyed auburn hair and put it up into a fancy ponytail, a style Shawn had taught her.

With that she was ready to go, now all she had to do was wait for Beck's knock at her door.

She sat down on her old raggedy sofa and turned on the TV. It opened right up to Adult Swim.

She was channel surfing until a familiar face caught her eye. It was on the local news channel.

"Breaking news: Gang Member, Aaron Smith was found murdered in the alleyway behind Johnson's Bookstore. The fingerprints on the knife found beside his body match recently escaped convicts, Billy Loomis and Stu Macher-"

She felt the vomit rise in her throat, she quickly stood up-

WHAM.
