Burnt Down

The moment you broke that trust,

I inched further and further away from you.

The moment you spoke those lies,

Our connection severed more.

The moment you made me feel like I was not worthy enough,

Nothing held us together anymore.

The moment you called my name and I felt nothing,

I knew we were over.

Nothing but a void had residence in the pit of my belly.

The bridge connecting us had been burnt down.
