What if Sakura left with Sasuke?

The story progresses much the same Team Taka goes on to fight Killer Bee but Sakura would be there to fight alongside them. After the Pain arc, Danzo being the Sixth Hokage Candidate would officially brand Sasuke and Sakura as rogue ninjas and deploy an ANBU team to kill them. This would mean that Ino wouldn't just be crying uncontrollably like she did originally but instead she would have a complete mental breakdown and likely passes out due to stress as a result and is likely placed in a mental health facility. The reason is that Sasuke being a rogue ninja that's one thing because Sasuke was Ino's crush she's obsessed with but Sakura being a rogue ninja is a completely different story because despite her rivalry, Sakura was Ino's childhood friend the same person Ino defended from bullies when they made fun of her, the same person who Ino encouraged to embrace who she is and not let others get to her, and the very same person whom Ino rekindled her relationship with after their fight in the Chunin Exams so hearing Sakura's actions as a rogue ninja on top of the fact that Konoha 11 decided to kill her alongside Sasuke, that would break Ino severely so much so her heart couldn't handle it because Ino basically just lost her childhood best friend.

From here the Five Kage summit arc happens much the same which means Sakura is there alongside Team Taka as they attack the summit and the Raikage, Darui, and Cee arrives to confront Sasuke and Sakura for what the did to Killee Bee. Sakura being a master genjutsu user on the battlefield means that Cee is placed under genjutsu much sooner than originally. Gaara would intervene as he did originally alongside Temari and Kankuro if the later is still alive with the statement I said earlier. Gaara would not only talk to Sasuke but to Sakura as well asking her if this is what she truly wanted which would cause Sakura to be hesitant to which Gaara would notices as Sakura is having conflicting feelings abs has outright second thoughts, Temari as well as Kankuro if he's still alive around this time would tell Gaara that regardless of her reasons or how she feels deep down, Sakura is now an international criminal and needs to be stopped. From here the story progresses much the same Sasuke would uses his Susanoo to escape and take Sakura and Karin which is here that despite their rivalry both women would agree that the Sasuke they know is gone. After that the 3 would go on to battle the Mizukage and Onoki which would lead to Obito stepping in as he did originally and declaring the Fourth Great Ninja War.

The story progresses much the same, Sakura, Karin, and Obito watch from the sidelines while Sasuke battles Danzo which would play out the same as it did originally, however the biggest difference is that Danzo takes Sakura hostage instead of Karin because Danzo knows that Sakura is someone that Sasuke cares about. However much to everyone's shock and horror and much to Obito's enjoyment, Sasuke would use his Chidori Spear to stab Sakura which in turn stabs Danzo, when Sakura asks why, Sasuke would remind her of the warning he gave years ago which is should Sakura get in the way Sasuke would kill her. After that Danzo dies the same way he did originally meanwhile Karin would frantically run over to Sakura to heal her. After Danzo's death, Obito would tell Sasuke to kill Sakura and Karin since Obito never trusted Sakura to begin with and both knew too much about them and they are basically useless at this point. As Karin was healing Sakura, Sasuke would move to kill them both before he could however Kakashi steps in as he did originally and would notice the state Sakura was in. The battle between Sasuke and Kakashi happens much the same with Naruto stepping in as he did originally and Obito and White Zetsu stepping in and retreating with Sasuke as they did originally.

After the battle Naruto and Kakashi would approach Sakura who would be fully healed up by Karin and Sakura would be in tears apologizing to Naruto and Kakashi for being a failure and finally explain her full reasoning for why she left the village with Sasuke which leads to her explaining that she was trying to save Sasuke and she thought that if she was his light to guide his darkness, Sasuke would see reason and come back to the light, Sakura's plan was to save Sasuke in her own way but now that she failed to do so she would blame herself for making the situation worse than it already is as she truly wanted to save Sasuke so Team 7 can smile and laugh again, she would then call herself a useless and pathetic member. After hearing her reasons, Kakashi would comfort and essentially forgive Sakura telling her that he should he the one apologizing for being a carless sensei. Naruto would the proceed to hit Sakura with his signature Talk no Jutsu telling her she understands why she feels the way she feels and tells her not to worry and let him handle Sasuke, these words would be more than enough to convince Sakura to come back to Konoha though she and Karin would be arrested and interrogated for intel. But Tsunade who would be awakened and take back the mantle of Hokage would likely pardon Sakura and offers her to become a Konoha ninja once again and help her get redemption by stopping the Fourth Great Ninja War.

After that we get to the scene where Naruto and Sakura tells all of Konoha 11 what happened with Sakura tearfully apologizing to all of them for all the pain she caused explaining her true motives for leaving with Sasuke explaining how she wanted to save Sasuke from his hatred and openly call herself a failure and blame herself for the Shinobi world being in a state of war and finish by saying she knows that they all won't forgive but she would then ask them to give her a chance to redeem herself. After hearing these words you're likely going to see Ino rushing in and giving Sakura a big hug tearfully telling Sakura that she's so happy she's back and forgives her, Hinata would likely forgive Sakura as well because she does have a big heart but the rest of Konoha 11 wouldn't be as forgiving with Shikamaru stating that though they understand how she is feeling, Sakura had completely broken their trust because of her actions and sorry won't be enough, Naruto would the cut in and defend Sakura by saying that despite her actions Sakura was truly trying to help Sasuke which would lead to Naruto telling everyone to let him handle Sasuke much to their dismay since everyone already made up their minds to eliminate Sasuke and the conversation ends the same way as originally.

After that the story progress mostly though with Sakura not being a medical ninja in this timeline means you're likely going to see her accompany Naruto and Killer Bee meaning she's there when they fight against Itachi and Nagato. After the battle Sakura would tell Itachi that she tried to save Sasuke in her own way something that Itachi would understand and tell her and Naruto that Sasuke is lucky to have friends like them. Sakura is also likely there alongside Naruto, Bee, Kakashi, and Guy when they battle against Obito and Madara and the Ten Tails. Now once Naruto has Kurama extracted by Madara, Sakura wouldn't be able to keep him alive but that wouldn't matter because Obito would give Naruto the Yin half of the Nine Tails anyways and plus Hagaromo would've simply brought Naruto and Sasuke back to life anyways to give them their Six Paths powers.

But other that there are no changes to the story going forward meaning that Sasuke and Sakura are officially cleared of all charges but a major change that would happen is I can see Sakura asking Sasuke if she could go with him on his redemption journey since she was a criminal like him, I can see Sasuke accepting her company.
This would make Sasuke and Sakura's marriage much more meaningful though Sasuke would tell Sakura to stay behind and take care of Sarada while Sasuke continues to be the Shadow Hokage.

And that's going to be it for today's What If as you guys can see Sakura leaving with Sasuke would lead to some minor changes to the story but I think Sakura's character would be slightly much better than originally.
