What if Sakura left with Sasuke?

When Sasuke became a rogue ninja, Sakura was willing to do anything to bring Sasuke back or at least she tried to as she even offered to leave the village with him and join him though she was bluffing. However what if that wasn't the care? What if Sakura truly meant to leave with Sasuke how would the Naruto story change would it be for better or would it be for worse? In today's episode of What If we're going to be looking at just that scenario so without further ado let's get started.

Like always in order for this to happen we must first establish a trigger point in the timeline and there are 2 ways this could've happened. Scenario 1 is when Sakura met Sasuke at the village gates and tries to stop him from leaving to Orochimaru. Scenario 2 is when Sakura confronted Sasuke at the samurai bridge after Sasuke killed Danzo. In order for things to get interesting I'm going to do scenario 1 because the second scenario looking through it doesn't really add much conflict or emotional states especially for Sakura as a character which is why I think the first scenario would be interesting because I think we can see a major change and actually see conflict in Sakura's character, now that we got that out of the way let's get into this What If.

When Sakura meets with Sasuke at the gates of the village the conversation would be mostly the same with Sakura confessing her love for Sasuke however a whereas in the original timeline she tried to say she wanted to leave with Sasuke as a bluff in this timeline the opposite would happen Sakura would tearfully beg Sasuke to let her leave with him explaining how he must be in so much pain and she wants to be there for him to relive him of his pain, however Sasuke would refuse saying that she doesn't understand how he's feeling and tells her that this is his path and that there's no need for her to follow her, but Sakura would say that even if she doesn't understand his pain she still wants to help him anyway she can she would say that she loves him more than anything in this world and says that she wants to be the light guiding his darkness and says that she's willing to betray Konoha if that's what it takes she would then finish by telling Sasuke that this is her path and nothing will stop her from it. Realizing that Sakura was dead serious about leaving with him, Sasuke accepts though he is reluctant though he would warn Sakura that if she ever got in his way Sasuke would get rid of her and kill her, now sticking to Sakura's character let's say that the only reason why she left the village was to prevent Sasuke from falling into darkness even further and be the light that helps Sasuke realize the error in his mistakes and return to Konoha.

Now the Sasuke Retrieval arc which would now be tattled the Sasuke and Sakura Retrieval arc would likely happen the same though how Naruto gets alerted is much different, I can see Sakura leaving a note behind letting him know that she left the village with Sasuke and told him not to worry about them let's say she made this note prior to meeting with Sasuke at the gates and let's say she left it at the village gates without Sasuke knowing and it's found by Genma and the Fourth Hokage's guards and reports this to Teunade or she left it at her house and her parents find it and report her missing. Either way eventually Naruto finds out and wants to leave to get Sasuke and Sakura back. So from here the story progresses much the same we have the same team assumable and the fight the Sound Four though the biggest difference is that Sakura is likely there with Kimimarro. Naruto would ask Sakura why she's doing this to which Sakura would tearfully apologize to Naruto and says that she had to do it. Before the conversation could get more emotional Sasuke breaks out and leaves with Sakura after he gained more power. From here most of the story progresses much the same but the biggest difference is that Sakura would be kinda hiding somewhere watching the battle from afar and the battle would proceed as normal with Sasuke defeating Naruto, but before she leaves with Sasuke, Sakura would look at Naruto's unconscious body one last time and tearfully tell Naruto that she is sorry. After that she leaves and the story progresses much with Kakashi taking Naruto back feeling sorry that he failed as his teacher. Meanwhile Orochimaru would be shocked that Sakura is there with Sasuke but nonetheless tries to work it in hie favor considering he had another slave. After Naruto recovers a major change that would happen Jiraiya and Kakashi leave to train with Naruto the reason I have this because Kakashi wants to be a better teacher to Naruto and help him bring Sasuke and Sakura back.
