Chapter 1
"Shit this is bad... the more time that elapses, the less chance of getting inside heaven or hell... Ugh where could the gates possibly be?" Azure said as she paced the room back and forth. Finding the gate to hell or heaven was her only chance.
She detested being a fallen because fallen ones have a bad reputation of going into senseless fights and whenever war broke out, the fallen ones are without protection. Having been the cast out from heaven, they usually exhibit worse behavior than those of hell because demons have unity, they do not and their hearts are filled with many negative emotions...
Fallen Ones mostly go into groups of two to five and that is the best unity ever possible because the more there are in the group, the more they have fights for superiority. Azure thought that she was lucky because Rouge, a fellow angel who fell with her, does not have an inclination for being the leader so she had no problem giving orders.
"Stop pacing Azure. You are spreading your aura too much... I cannot even see the room clearly now. It's overwhelming my senses..." Rouge whispered. One of Rouge's abilities is to see auras. Auras help Rouge classify people easily.
By studying it, she could know if a person is an angel, a demon, a human or an undead. Then if she exerted more effort, she could see a glimpse of what a person is thinking. Right now, Azure is feeling very frustrated and she did not bother to control her aura.
"Shit, I'm sorry. It's just that I no longer know what to do!" Azure exclaimed and ran her fingers through her black hair...
"But in the movies and books that I've read it said that we should do good deeds so that the gates of heaven shall open up for us once again, right?" she looked back at Rouge who was sitting on top of the table and could not stop herself from smiling. Rouge had crimson hair and sky-blue eyes but despite those features, she still looked every bit heavenly.
"You are so lucky, Rouge. I'm so happy for you..." she whispered and once again, she smiled. She was happy and oh, how good it felt to be happy!
"Hey, hey. What happened Azure? Your aura... it's so happy... why? Hey, do not smile like that! Have you lost your mind?" Rouge said and she run over her then looked straight into her eyes. Her smile got wider and she almost cried tears of joy.
"I'm so happy for you Rouge.. You're still one of them.." she whispered. She could not believe her own eyes as she stared at Rouge and she could see that she still had a faint glow around her. Why did she not notice it before? Perhaps Rouge gained it when they were apart while searching for the gates.
"One of whom? Now you are definitely making no sense here. Could you please explain it to me?"
"No, we would not waste more time by explaining it to you. I am assigning you to a mission, find the gate of heaven and if you find it, head inside at once. Do not come looking for me, I still need some time to know which gate would open up for me." She said and pushed Rouge out of the room then locked the door.
She had to do it, the more time that they spent with each other, the lesser Rouge glows.
Now that she was already alone, Azure had more time to think about every possibility. She was certain that Rouge would be welcomed to heaven because her being cast-out was probably a mistake but then what about her? Would she be welcomed into ether gates or would she remain to be a fallen for all eternity?
Two hours passed but to her it seemed more like seconds... Her happiness for Rouge faded too quickly, and now she detested her. It was unfair that she could still go inside heaven but Rouge could not because they had done the same deed! They had both killed a fellow angel but why did it have to be so unfair?
