It's been 3 months since we ran away. We finally found a place to hide out till we could both get a job to afford things. Luis works at Wal-Mart and I work at a local mini-mart. We saved up enough money to rent an apartment together and almost have enough saved up to buy a house. Neither of us have heard from our mothers since the hotel.

"Good morning sunshine." Luis says as I walk into the kitchen. He has been cooking me breakfast for the past 4 weeks.
"Shut up." I sit at the table and rub my eyes.
"Oh I love it when you're feisty." He winks and kisses me on the cheek then sits down.
"What's on the menu today?"
"Bacon."
"We had bacon yesterday."
"Because bacon is good."
"You're such a dork."
"I love you too."
I finish eating eating my bacon and take a shower. When I get out I sit next to him on the couch.
"Aren't you going to put clothes on?" He looks at me.
I look down. "Nah I have a towel." He wraps his arms around me and pulls me close, kissing my head.
"So what are we going to do on this wonderful Saturday morning?"
"Sleep." I say as I fall over and put my head in his lap, closing my eyes.
"Hey, no, come on you just got up." He pokes me. I don't move. He pokes me again and I still don't move.
"Baby." He drags out the word. After I don't answer yet again he stands up. My head falls over on the couch cushion. He turns and looks at me. "Come on. Get up." He pulls my hand.
"Shh. Sleeping." I roll over on my back.
"Oh my God." He tries to let go of my hand but I grab his before he can. I pull him on top of me and open my eyes.
We both smile at the same time. He runs his fingers through my hair but I never take my eyes off of him. I stop smiling and he looks back at me, still moving his hand over my head.
"I love you." He whispers, his voice breaking slightly. He knows I noticed it and kisses me before I can say anything. A few seconds later I pull away. "Luis." It's all I can get out before he pushes his lips against mine again. I put my hands on his shoulders and push him away. "Luis, stop." I turn my head to the left as he comes down again, making him kiss my neck instead.
"Don't you love me anymore?" He asks, his face still on my neck. He kisses it again.
"Luis, I'm not kidding, stop," he pulls away and gets up. I sit up and look up at him.
"I'm worried about you," I grab his hand, "are you okay?" He looks down and doesn't say anything. I stand up and hug him.
"Luis, I love you."
He hugs me back, tight.
"I love you too and I'm okay." I wasn't convinced. I let go.
"Okay so what do you want to do on this wonderful Saturday morning?" I smile. He looks me dead in the eyes and I know exactly what he is thinking.
"I'll get the ice cream, you order the pizza. Oh shoot I have to go to the grocery store to get the ice cream."
"Okay."
I kiss his cheek, "I'll be right back."
"Okay."
"You okay?"
"Yeah."
"...Okay." I get dressed and walk out the door.

"Honey, I'm home." I walk in and the pizza is on the counter. I put the ice cream in the freezer.
"Luis?" I walk around the house. "Luis." I shout. I stop moving and listen. I hear crying and it's coming from the bathroom. I run to it and try to open the door but its locked. I knock loudly.
"Luis!" I shout. "Luis open up!" I grab the handle and keep twisting it. I start kicking the door, "Luis open the damn door." He is crying harder now. "Luis please." I'm begging now. I can't take it anymore, I grab a knife and open the door. I push it open and see him sitting on the floor in a puddle of blood.
