It's been a week since Natasha went on her trip. Steve was lying on the couch watching a movie Netflix. His phone rang, so he paused the tv.
"Hello?" Steve asks
"It's Sam." Sam says
"What's up?" Steve asks
"Maria just called me, she and Natasha just landed. And get this, Maria is coming over to my place." Sam says
"That's cool." Steve says, then he realised his wife was coming home. "Wait, you said Natasha just landed?"
"Yeah, didn't she call you?" Sam asks
"No! She didn't! This is terrible!" Steve says
"Maybe she wanted it to be a suprise." Sam says
"Sam. The house is a mess. She's kill me. You have to stall her." Steve says
"She's already on her way over there. I'm sorry, man." Sam says and hung up.
"Fuck." Steve cursed
Steve looked around and ran to the kitchen to get a garbage bag. He started to pick up all the packages of take-out food.
"What the hell is this?" He could Natasha say
"I can explain." Steve says and dropped the bag on the ground.
"You said you would be fine. This isn't fine." Natasha says
"I'll clean it up. I promise." Steve says
"I really thought you would take care of yourself when I would be away." Natasha says
"I know. I know. And I'm really sorry, it was just so busy." Steve says
"You're always busy. Even when I'm not there you have to take breaks." Natasha says and grabbed his hands. "And shave, you clearly haven't taken good care of it."
"I haven't." Steve says
"And then you'll look like a cute puppy." Natasha says and patted his cheek. "Why don't you clean it up tomorrow? Then we'll go to bed together now. I'm really tired, the flight was really long."
"Okay. Let's go." Steve says
Steve held her hand as they walked up the stairs. Steve let Natasha have the bathroom first. Once she returned she went under the covers and turned her back to Steve so he could be the big spoon.
The strap of Natasha's pajamas fell from her shoulder and it revealed a huge bruise on her shoulder.
"What happened?" Steve asks as he lightly touched it.
"I fell out of the bed and hit the nightstand." Natasha lied
"Oh." Steve says, "Does it hurt?"
"Not anymore." Natasha says, "Nothing I can't handle."
Natasha grabbed Steve's hand and gave it a rub. Then she pulled his hand to her waist so he could hold her while they slept.
In the morning Natasha was making herself and Steve some breakfast. Steve gave a kiss on her cheek and rubbed her shoulder which made Natasha flinch.
"You said it didn't hurt anymore." Steve says
"It hurts a bit if you rub it." Natasha says and smiled at him.
"What am I having for breakfast today?" Steve asks as he sat on a chair at the kitchen counter.
"A bowl of yoghurt and a fruit salad. You didn't eat very healthy this last week I noticed, so I thought some fruit wouldn't hurt." Natasha says
"Thank you. It looks great." Steve says
"Now eat up, you don't want to be late." Natasha says
"Nick Fury is here to see you." Sharon told Steve over the phone.
"Send him in." Steve says and hung up.
The door opened and Nick Fury walked in wearing his long black coat.
"Hello, Steve." Fury says
"Hi, Fury." Steve says, "Do you got the file?"
"Got it right here." Fury says and handed over the monthly file. "I also came here to talk to you about Natasha."
"What about her?" Steve asks
"Well she has been working really hard this past month at work and at home I heard. I think she deserves a break, like a vacation." Fury says
"A vacation by herself?" Steve says
"No, no. You should go with her. I know you two haven't had a honeymoon, so this would be a great time." Fury says
"I got work." Steve says
"Everyday of the year you got work. You need a break as much as she does. And I already approved her vacation days behind her back." Fury says
"Where do you think she would like to go?" Steve asks
"I know for a fact she's never been to Hawaii before. You went there a lot with your parents, right?" Fury says
"Yeah, every summer. It would be nice to go back there." Steve says
"Then it's settled. You two are going on a vacation and that's final." Fury says and left the office before Steve could say a word.
The moment Steve arrived home his wife attacked him with questions.
"Why did Fury send me home on a two week vacation?" Natasha asks
"Umh..." Steve starts
"Well?" Natasha asks, "I was working on something. Now talk!"
Steve got scared from the tone his wife spoke in, so he immediately spilled everything. "Fury came to me and told me you should take a break, as should I. So he told me we have to go on a honeymoon and I wanted it to be a suprise, but I booked us a flight to Hawaii for Monday."
"You're taking me to Hawaii?" Natasha asks
"Yeah, thought it would be nice." Steve says
"Thank you!" Natasha squeals and jumped on Steve with a hug.
"No problem, you deserve it." Steve says
"I haven't been there before." Natasha says
"I know, so I'll show you all the pretty places." Steve says
"Can't wait." Natasha says

I was supposed to post yesterday, but I went to see the Barbie movie and totally forgot. anyways the honeymoon is finally coming up! the next chapter will be out Friday!
