𝕿𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊 𝖜𝖆𝖘𝖓'𝖙 𝖒𝖚𝖈𝖍 𝖙𝖔 𝖉𝖜𝖊𝖑𝖑 𝖔𝖓 once Loki had settled in the tiny apartment Strange had left him in. Hours in solitude came naturally to him, being ignored by his father who only had eyes on his older brother. Books are what kept Loki alive and breathing, books on magic specifically.

As the two women left the lot, Loki remained on the couch with his eyes glued to the white popcorn ceiling for a good while. When he grew bored of that, he wandered around the house, knowing it was likely rude to humans to snoop around what wasn't theirs. Loki didn't care though, he was raised roaming around castles. What curiosities could a small one-story place hide?

Right across the couch was the living room area. A 25-inch television rested on a table that could barely account for the legs of the screen. And behind it was a surprisingly large collection of books on a wooden shelf, much of them were kept clean and free from dust. Loki set his eyes on each one, taking small paces as he relaxed his hands behind him. Most of them were on the anatomy and physiology of humans, psychology, and a good portion of books by Jane Austen. His eyes landed on a title called 'Little Women,' which made him scoff.

"The struggle between familial duty and oneself, huh?" he says to himself after reading the short excerpt from the cover. He figured it was likely that the red-headed woman would read this sort of novel. "Clearly not for me."

He set it back on the shelf and kept skimming through the collection when his interest caught on a certain faded brown textbook that seemed out of place compared to the others. His finger laid upon it as he traced the cover's engraved text. On it spelled 'A Guide to Norse Mythology,'
