Following the events with the 3 demons inside the mansion, (y/n) still hadn't found his way out or encountered any demons

Somewhere in the mansion Kiyoshi was holding the drum he had frightened out of his mind

Elsewhere the drum demon had gotten away from the invading demons and continued searching for Kiyoshi

The tongue demon and fat demon had been separated and also searched the massive mansion while the boar headed demon slayer was storming through the halls alone

(Y/n) was laying on the ground with his ear to the floor hearing all the current residents of the mansion but unable to discern the differences between them

(Y/n):*I hear...three? Someone isn't moving...but is one of them Kiyoshi? Mr.Uzui would probably be able to find out who's who in the blink of an eye.*

He got up on one knee and sighed

(Y/n):*No matter how far I go it changed every time. I shouldn't be expending my energy but sitting still isn't helping either.*

He looked at his injured leg but it wasn't bleeding and scoffed

(Y/n):*I've got about 2 hours left before I hit my limit with my total concentration breathing. After that I'll begin bleeding again and it's deep enough to impair my mobility further. If I was in peak condition I could've probably taken that demon with the drums but like this...*

He clutched his stomach, inside his tunic his bandages were slightly soaked in blood

(Y/n):As far as I know, no one's coming so I'll have to deal with this myself.

He got up and started walking across the old floorboards of the mansion

Outside the mansion a pair of demon slayers approached the mansion, one being Tanjiro Kamado and the other being Zenitsu Agatsuma, both were members surviving members of (y/n)'s final selection exam

Tanjiro:I can smell blood...but it's strange.

Zenitsu:wait, you can smell something here?

Tanjiro:yeah but this...a whole new smell.

Zenitsu:a smell? I can't say I'm getting that but...what about that sound? You are able to hear that right?

Tanjiro:sound?

Out of the corner of his eye tanjiro spotted two petrified children hiding by some bushes

Zenitsu:there...are kids here?

Tanjiro:they look scared.

He started walking towards them as they sheepishly crept back

Tanjiro:hey there, is there a reason your out here by yourselves?

Tanjiro stopped seeing he was making them more distressed

Tanjiro:*they're definitely terrified.*

He knelt down on one knee

Tanjiro:guess what? I've got something really cool here, wanna see it?
