Luhence’s Point of View

After getting ready, I decided to take Kyianna to the mall to play at the arcade. We had a blast playing games like Galaga, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Asteroids, Street Fighter II, Ms. Pac-Man, and Frogger.

Sa mall, nakasalubong ko ang mga pinsan kong taga ibang bansa, sina Akesha at Jayson.

“Omjie! Luhence, andito ka pala. 4 years na simula nung huli tayong nagkita,” bati sa akin ni Kesha.

“Sorry, I’ve been really busy,” sagot ko

“Bro, it’s been 4 years since you’ve been gone. You didn’t even show up for our grandpa’s birthday or any family events. You didn’t reply to our messages, and we had no idea what was going on in your life through social media. We had to wait for news to know if there was any new issue with you,”dagdag ni Kesha.


“We missed you, especially since you’ve changed. You’re my favorite cousin,”sabi ni Kesha

I could tell my cousins were being insincere, and I knew one of them wanted to take my position as the next heir of Hawthorne.

Pinilit kong ngumiti ng peke sa kanila.

“Why didn’t you keep in touch?” tanong ni Jayson

Sasagot na sana ako nang sumingit si Kesha, sasagutin daw niya ang tanong ni Jayson dahil sa kadaldalan nila, hindi napapansin si Kyianna, at hindi ko  nagustuhan yun.

Hindi ko muna sinasali si Kyianna sa usapan dahil ayokong masira ang araw niya. I asked her to go to the Pop-A-Shot area to play while waiting for me.

“I know!”  presenta ni Akesha

“What is it?” tanong ko

“Because you got another woman pregnant, right?”sabi ni Kesha

“What?” kalmadong tanong ko

“Yes! Kesha has a point, and we heard that you were in another country and stayed there for 3 years. Maybe that’s where you raised your child,” gatong pa ni Jayson

Napahagalpak ako ng tawa.

“Are you laughing? We’re right, aren’t we?” Tanong ni Kesha na nagpupunas ako ng luha sa sobrang tawa sa mga pinagsasabi nila.

“That’s not true,” sabi ko, ng biglang silang na tigilan sa sinabi ko.

“Huh?” Nagtatakang tanong nila.


“I didn’t get someone else pregnant. I just helped their family, and she’s not pregnant. I respect her, and besides, I left because I was on training. It’s a family tradition in every heir and it passed through generations and it’s called international mafia operations. This involves the expansion of mafia activities and influence beyond their original home country to other regions and countries,” paliwanag ko

“And besides, I’m the rank 1 boss, and you should be proud because our family is now a powerful mafia in the world. Without my help, I don’t know where your families would be, and without me and my investors, I don’t know if your family’s business would still be running,” dagdag ko

“Enough, Luhence, you’re being arrogant,”Ani Jayson na halatang naiinis sa sinabi ko.

“I heard that while I was away, you represented our family in a Russian roulette game and almost got my men killed because of your stupidity. I also heard that grandpa was disappointed in you because you were showing off, wanting to be the heir, but you failed.  Again I advise, don’t join if you’re just going to be foolish,”sabi ko na ikinatahimik niya.

“You’re going too far, Luhence,” Sabi ni Kesha, agad naman akong napatingin sa kanya.

“What’s your secret again, Kesha? Let me think,”Sabi ko, kunwari nag-iisip.



“Ah, I know! You got pregnant by one of our rival enemies, the Montenegros, and I heard you had an abortion, which your mom hid to avoid the shame of having a grandchild. How shameful you are. And you want to be a lawyer, but you failed because you were caught cheating on the entrance exam.”sabi ko ng makita ang maputlang mukha niya.

“I hate you. I wish you didn’t show up. You’re such a demon,” sabi niya, at tumawa lang ako.

“That’s what I’ll say too. If you didn’t show up and insult us, you wouldn’t have been embarrassed. And yeah, I was born to be evil,”Sabi ko, saka lumingon at tumingin ulit sa kanila.

“Sana hindi masira ang date namin ni Kyianna kung di niyo ako nilapitan,” sabi ko, naiwan silang nakatulala at walang imik.

Kailangan ko siyang puntahan. Alam kong hinihintay niya ako.

Kyianna Point of view

Habang naglalaro ako, maayos naman ang lahat. Marami na akong natira bola nang biglang may tumawag sa akin mula sa likuran. Lumingon ako, and it was Gab.

Nandito din siya? May girlfriend din ba  siyang kasama?. Binati ko na lang siya  para iwas awkwardness  sa amin dalawa.

“Hi! Sinong kasama mo?” Itinanong ko.

“Me, Myself, and I,” sabi niya, mahinang tumawa.

“Ah, okay,” sabi ko, saka nagfocus sa nilalaro ko.

“Kasama mo si Luhence?” tanong niya.

“Oo, nandito siya. Pinauna niya ako dahil kausap niya ang  inyong pinsan na  taga ibang bansa,” sabi ko.

"Kesha at Jayson?” tanong niya.

“Ata yan din ang na rinig ko,” sabi ko.

“Maling pader ang binangga nila,” sabi niya.

“Anong ibig mong sabihin?” Tanong ko ng biglang natigilan ako kakashoot  ng bola.

“Itong dalawang pinsan ko, Kesha at Jake, medyo toxic. Alam mo naman, imposible namang walang toxic sa pamilya, di ba?” tanong niya, agad naman akong nag agree sa sinabi niya.

“And always remember sometimes the hardest battles are fought within the walls of our own homes, but remember, you are not alone in this struggle,” dagdag pa niya at parang nakakarelate ako sa sinabi niya.

“And speaking of Luhence, pupunta siya. By the way, busy ka ba bukas o may gagawin ka?” tanong niya na nagpatuloy sa ginagawa.

“Oo, pupunta kami sa mommy at daddy niya para bisitahin sila,” putol ni Luhence.

“Hindi kita tinanong. Kyianna lang ang tinanong ko,” sabi ni Gab.

“What do you care to ask her if she’s busy tomorrow?” Iritadong tanong ni Luhence.

“I just want to know more about her, as she’s soon to be my sister-in-law,” sabi ni Gab.

“Okay, stop it! To be honest, anniversary namin ng mga kaibigan ko bukas, kaya wag na kayong magtalo dahil hindi ako sasama sa inyo,” sabi ko na agad naman silang napatigil.

“Aish!, jan na lang kayo  lagi ako na lang na kikita at inaaway.” sabi ni Gab at umalis na.

“Uy Gab, saan ka pupunta?” sigaw ko, pero hindi siya lumingon. Natawa na lang ako sa pagtatalo nila. Hindi ko alam kung bakit lagi silang nag-aaway sa harap ko.

“Let’s eat. I’m hungry, and it’s almost 12:00 am,” sabi niya sabay hila sa akin papunta sa isang mamahaling restaurant

I don’t know why he’s doing this. It’s not just the words he says, but the way he makes me blush with the warmth of his unique attention.

A/N: see you sa nextupdate pag di ako tinatamad HAHAHA and I think I have two years pa para tapusin ang story nato medyo mahabang habang time nga pero ginagawa ko yung best ko para matapos nato minsan kasi may mga bagay na hindi ko inexpect na dapat gawin like mga school activities I always prioritise my studies sa kailangan ko talaga tutukan and second priorities ko yung pag susulat and thank you din sa mga readers ko na naghihintay palagi sa next update ko thank you talaga🥺🤍✨
